Jintana Herb & Sauna
Tucked away on a residential soi in Hua Hin's Nong Kae area, this herb and sauna facility has built a loyal following among both locals and long-term visitors for its authentic, unhurried approach to wellness. The centrepiece is a traditional Finnish wooden sauna, complemented by a herbal steam room infused with fresh ginger, lime, rock salt, and lemongrass. An ice bath rounds out the contrast therapy circuit, making it a genuinely therapeutic experience rather than a purely decorative spa visit. The atmosphere is relaxed and communal rather than clinical or resort-polished. Visitors consistently highlight the attentive staff, a bar area for unwinding between sessions, and food that is both good quality and affordably priced. The facility has grown steadily over the years while retaining the intimate, neighbourhood feel that regulars value. Massage treatments are also available on-site, making it easy to extend a session into a longer recovery or relaxation visit. As opening hours and current pricing are not listed online, it is worth calling ahead or visiting in person to confirm availability before making the trip. The address is within a residential soi, so sharing the full address with a taxi or rideshare driver in advance will save time. Comfortable, loose clothing is recommended for before and after treatments, and arriving without a tight schedule allows guests to make the most of the sauna and steam cycle at their own pace.

Visitor Reviews
If you’re looking for a genuine sanctuary in Hua Hin, this spot is an absolute gem. It’s rare to find a place that balances traditional wellness with modern recovery so perfectly. Here is why it stands out: The Heat Experience The facility boasts three distinct saunas, each offering a different "flavor" of heat. Whether you prefer a dry, intense sweat or something more mellow, they have you covered. The Traditional Thai Sauna: This is the undisputed star of the show. It’s an authentic experience that uses local wisdom to clear your skin and your mind. The Herbal Steam Room: Stepping into this room feels like a deep breath for your entire body. The infusion of fresh Thai herbs is incredibly aromatic—it’s not just steam; it’s basically aromatherapy for your lungs. The Cold Plunge After you’ve thoroughly baked, the ice bath is the ultimate game-changer. It is kept at a bracing, perfect temperature to shock your system in the best way possible, closing your pores and giving you that incredible post-sauna endorphin rush. Why I Recommend It: Variety: You can cycle between the dry heat, herbal steam, and icy water. Authenticity: The focus on Thai herbal traditions makes it feel like more than just a gym sauna. Atmosphere: It’s the perfect place to disconnect from the Hua Hin heat and actually cool down from the inside out. If you’re a fan of contrast therapy or just need a solid detox, this is easily one of the best spots in town.
The OG Finnish Wooden Sauna in Hua Hin 🥰 Our favorite hangout spot for the past 4 years—it’s truly a sanctuary to recharge body, mind, and soul. We’ve seen the growth of Jintana 102 from having only 1 herbal Steam and 1 small sauna up to now there are 4 steam and sauna rooms and the space just kept on expanding and even have 2 other branches now! It is really not difficult to spend the whole day here—enjoy a relaxing massage, refreshing body scrub, healthy fresh juice, or even a cheeky cocktail 🍹 One of the best places to meet people from all walks of life! Props to the staff—attentive, friendly, and absolutely fabulous. The homey vibe creates an undeniable sense of community 💕 Thank you for keeping this space so special. Definitely HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 🙏
So glad l came for a steam bath and found excellent masseuses aswell. Herbal Steam bath was just what l needed, fresh ginger, lime rock salt and hint of lemonGrass are the herbs in the steamer. Cold Shower then plunge pool x 4 x 15 mins perfect to clear a stuffy head. Followed this with 90min Thai massage. Fell so much better now. Local and expats and it's popular. A hidden gem as it's off the tourist trail
Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
