Tamarind Market
Tamarind Market is an open-air evening destination in Hua Hin that functions more as an outdoor food court than a traditional night market — a distinction visitors consistently appreciate. Operating Thursday through Sunday from 5pm to 11pm, it draws a relaxed mix of locals and tourists looking for good food, cold drinks, and live music in a clean, well-organised setting. The market sits directly next to Cicada Market, making it easy to visit both in a single evening. Food is firmly the main attraction here. Stalls offer an unusually wide range of cuisines alongside Thai staples — German pork knuckle, Malaysian satay, Mexican tacos, grilled seafood, and Thai desserts all feature regularly. Affordable drinks, including reasonably priced local beers, add to the casual, social atmosphere. Live music performances run throughout the evening, contributing to the lively but unhurried pace that keeps people coming back. A practical note: parking is available on-site for 50 baht. Seating is generally easy to find, and the market is well set up for groups who want to eat, sit, and stay a while. Arriving earlier in the evening gives more time to browse before the crowd builds. Bringing cash is advisable, as smaller stalls may not accept card payments.

Visitor Reviews
Lots of things to eat, prices are reasonable, place is very clean and well organized. They play live music. Easy to find dining seats. Only open Thursday to Sunday. The Cicada market is next door if you want to buy souvenirs.
Tamarind Market is located right next to Cicada Market, and it’s another great place to spend the evening in Hua Hin. The market is always lively with lots of people and a fun, casual atmosphere. There’s a huge variety of food to choose from — Thai dishes, snacks, grilled seafood, desserts, and drinks. Everything looks (and tastes) delicious! It’s the kind of place where you can just walk around, try different foods, and enjoy the buzz of the crowd. With good music, tasty food, and friendly vendors, Tamarind Market is the perfect spot to hang out with friends or family after a day at the beach.
This is an amazing food night market. Very clean and organised, great variety of foods including, German pork knuckle, Mexican tacos and nachos, Australian beef cubed, Malaysian satay chicken and pork, Chinese sui mai, pork ribs, Korean fried chicken as well as the usual Thai favourites. Lots of seating and clean amenities. Avoid the 6pm rush and go at 4.30 when they open or after 7.30 for easier parking and seating.

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
