Jttt-Travel
Based in central Mueang Chiang Rai, this locally run tour agency organises guided day tours across northern Thailand, covering highlights such as the temples of Chiang Rai, the Golden Triangle, tea viewpoint stops, and trekking experiences into the surrounding landscape. The company caters to solo travellers, couples, and groups, offering both shared and private tour options depending on demand and group size.
What sets this operator apart is the quality of its individual guides. Visitors consistently highlight guides by name — Sandy, Mo, Mew, Sunny, and Cheer among them — praising their depth of local knowledge, warmth, and ability to make tours feel personal rather than rushed. Hostel and hotel pickups are arranged as standard, and itineraries are structured to cover key landmarks efficiently within a single day. On at least one occasion, a shared booking converted to a private tour at no extra cost when group numbers were low, which travellers noted as a welcome bonus.

Reviews from Google
We did our trip with Cheer and I would HIGHLY recommend this company due to our experience with him. We booked for a 7 stop tour but due to the lack of other people booking we ended up in a private tour with cheer. He apologised in advance for his poor English and advised he is normally just a driver and this was his first tour. Let me tell you, Cheer had more than good enough English, we understood everything he was telling us and he should be doing tours more often!! He was extremely informative, more than happy to answer any questions we have, quick to open car doors for us when arriving and leaving, happy to walk with us or leaving us for free time. All in all he is the BEST tour guide we have had so far on our travels throughout Thailand. He was our personal photographer all day as well as tour guide, driver, teacher and most importantly a friend! We went to the white temple, blue temple, black house, golden triangle & opium museum (we did not attend the Karen village as per our request). If these stops were not good enough them selves. Cheer helped us to learn a few phrases in Thai , he informed us about all the different kinds of fruit growing at the side of the roads, what animals we passed by, how to eat certain foods and fruits, where old temples were located and so much more we didn’t expect to learn. A personal thank you from Jess and Lewis, we will remember to come back to you when we return to Chiang Rai !!
Sunny and the driver are so kind and lovely people. We had a lot of fun with them, they gave us a lot of information and a lot more. Sunny build things for us made of bamboo and he told us a lot about the culture and the life in Thailand. They let us try local food. We can highly recommend to do the tour with them!!!!
So happy to have Jesse (sounds like cheers) as our guide. Great day. The stops were very interesting and our guide was very knowledgeable. The tea viewpoint was spectacular.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Popular Activities Online
Booking platforms like GetYourGuide give you instant confirmation and, on many activities, free cancellation — and you can read recent reviews before committing. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
