Compare prices
BED Friends Poshtel occupies a central position on Phaholyothin Road, placing guests within easy walking distance of Chiang Rai's night bazaar, bus station, and several temples. The poshtel format bridges the gap between budget hostels and mid-range hotels, offering clean, comfortable rooms that appeal to solo travellers and small groups who want reliable quality without paying full hotel prices. The atmosphere leans quiet and relaxed rather than social, making it a good fit for travellers who prioritise rest over a party scene. A rooftop garden provides a calm space to unwind, and a simple breakfast of coffee, tea, toast, and eggs is included each morning. Rooms are consistently described by guests as clean and comfortable, and the reception staff receive particular praise for being helpful and welcoming. Bike rentals are available nearby, giving guests a practical option for exploring the city and surrounding area independently. Good to know: The property sits close to the bus station, which is useful for day trips to attractions across Chiang Rai province. Rooms on certain floors can pick up some street or common-area noise, so light sleepers may want to request a quieter room at check-in. Chiang Rai's peak tourist season runs from November to February, when accommodation fills quickly across the city, so booking ahead is advisable during those months.

Visitor Reviews
Lovely hostel in the middle of Chiang Rai within walking distance of several temples, the night bazar and the bus station. There are also plenty of bike rentals nearby. The room was comfortable and the shared bathroom was very clean. They also offer free breakfast on the second floor, and there's also a rooftop area to relax and enjoy the view. The staff are very kind and helpful, making the overall experience feel welcoming.
It's a very nice and clean hostel, also looks like a hotel. The staff greets you very kindly every time. Would recommend if your not looking for anything social but just want a nice place to sleep. Location is also great only a few minutes from the bus station. Breakfast is included but only consist of toast with butter, i liked it tho.
Great place to stay on a budget! Bathrooms were super clean. Water was a little cold though. Staff were super helpful and friendly especially the young girl at reception!! Can get a tiny bit noisy in the evening as there is a bar across the road but nothing too bad.
