75 Anniversary Flag and Lamp Park
This public park in central Mueang Chiang Rai operates as a quiet local green space for most of the year, but earns its reputation through the annual flower festival held each January, when the grounds fill with a dense, colourful display of blooms that draws visitors back year after year. Entrance to the festival is free, and the event is accompanied by small food stalls offering local dishes at reasonable prices, live music, and an artificial waterfall that adds to the festive atmosphere. Outside of festival season, the park serves as a casual gathering spot and occasional concert venue. Notable features include mature trees with characterful root systems and stone walls that have taken on an organic quality over time. However, visitors should note that the park's appeal varies considerably depending on when they arrive. Without the festival, some find the space underwhelming, with surrounding buildings that feel oversized relative to the park's footprint. It works better as a brief stop during a broader day out in the city than as a dedicated outing. Good to know: Those visiting specifically for the flowers should plan their trip for January to coincide with the festival. The park opens daily at 6 AM, with Saturday hours extending to 11 PM, making cooler evening visits possible on weekends. On other days, the park closes at 8 PM.

Visitor Reviews
We found the park here to be wonderful, it was by the water and the layout of the flowers were perfect. Some of the flowers were starting to die which is fair enough as the season may be coming to an end and the flower festival is ending too, We still loved walking around seeing the sculptures and flowers, there is a small park here for kids also and it’s an easy paved walk so all can enjoy. “Jonique Life” If you find value in our reviews please consider following our social media outlets on Facebook and Instagram as we highlight magical places you can add to your ever growing bucket list.
In January a flower festival (free entrance) takes place at this park and it is aaaamazing. Go and check it out. A sea of flowers in all colors. I came back because I had to see it a second time. Also there are some options to sit down and just enjoy!
Stunning flowers of all shades and shapes! Small shops of everything. Yummy good food and very good price! Music in this beautiful surrounding. Nice artificial waterfall. Food and fruits are highly reccommended. Just loved it

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
