Arisara Thai Massage
Pay a bit more than the shophouse places around Chiang Rai and you get a calmer, more organised setup inside the Siam Triangle Hotel on Phaholyothin Road. Reviewers put it at roughly double the cheap street rate, which still lands at around 300 baht for a basic Thai massage. That's the one I'd start with. A 90-minute oil massage runs 600 baht, and there's a package pairing an hour of body scrub with an hour of deep tissue oil for 1,000 baht.
Two honest caveats. The therapists aren't consistent, and more than one guest has ended up with someone still learning the trade. The good news is the owner takes it well: one reviewer asked to switch mid-session and had their full two hours restarted. Say what pressure you want before you lie down, and ask by name if someone was recommended to you. The shower booth used with the scrub package is basic and the water can run cool, so temper expectations there.

Reviews from Google
Ra is the female masseuse you want. I had the male therapist for 15mins and sad to say that he needed more training. The very kind owner allowed me to change to someone more experienced upon me walking out in a robe and had my massage restarted for the 2hrs I paid for. Ra got me to stretch and check my muscle tightness before starting the massage and she made the deep tissue massage one of the best ones I have had in my travels. 10 stars for her! Also, the actual building location as per Google photos is no longer operational. They have moved to a smaller unit just 2mins ride/5mins walk from the original place (first right turn when you start walking towards your left facing the old building). Just use Google Maps for the updated location.
Great massage. Went twice. The basic 300bht massage was great. Good pressure, nice stretching, great atmosphere. The second was a 90 minute 600 bht massage with oil. Nice but not twice as nice. Very professional and comfortable experience.
Well I think the online reviews are a bit over rated. The massage is okay but not as good, price is also okay yes it is cheap however there are lot more cheaper options too.

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
