Bangkok Thai Cooking Academy
Located in Bangkok's Watthana district, this cooking academy offers immersive, hands-on classes where participants learn to prepare authentic Thai dishes using traditional techniques and fresh, quality ingredients. The curriculum spans everything from foundational skills like knife work and sauce preparation to centuries-old recipes, making it genuinely rewarding for both first-time cooks and experienced chefs looking to deepen their knowledge of Thai cuisine. Vegetarian options are available, and classes typically include a market or ingredient exploration component alongside the cooking session itself. The atmosphere is consistently praised as welcoming, well-organised, and fun, with instructors known for being engaging, clear in their explanations, and attentive to participants at all skill levels. Classes cover multiple dishes per session, and participants eat what they prepare — a highlight that reviewers frequently mention. The academy draws solo travellers, couples, and small groups, and the location is straightforward to find within the district. Good to know: The academy operates Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offering reliable scheduling that fits most Bangkok itineraries. Classes are described by visitors as affordably priced, though pricing details are best confirmed directly on the website at bangkokthaicookingacademy.com. Booking in advance is strongly recommended, as popular sessions fill up quickly. Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes appropriate for kitchen work, and set aside several hours to get the full benefit of the experience.

Visitor Reviews
If you're looking for an amazing cooking class, look no further - this is by far the best class I've taken. Chef Lekky was a really funny, sassy teacher who made the whole experience so much fun. Food genuinely tasted 10/10 and I will definitely be recreating these recipes at home. The kitchen staff were all so helpful and made the whole experience of cooking 5 dishes very efficient. We met at 8am near the On Nut station & were fully finished by 12pm. The kitchen was also air conditioned which made things more comfortable. I really appreciated the flexibility shown by the staff as I asked to reschedule on the day of my class, for which they were fully accommodating. Would highly recommend this class! Thanks for a wonderful experience
The instructor and staff were very nice. The class was well organized and easy to follow. School location is very easy to find and the price is very affordable. If you are looking for something fun to do in Bangkok I definitely recommend to try cooking class at Bangkok Thai Cooking Academy. You can also bring all the food you leaned how to make home with you. All the dishes I chose to learn were all delicious. I was so happy that I leaned how to make Kao Soi for the first time. It was excellent recipe!
We LOVED our course at Bangkok Thai Cooking Academy. As chefs we wanted the chance to deepen our Thai cuisine experience. From rare recipes to centuries old techniques, the school offers it all. So grateful to Chef Ratch for leading us on an incredible journey. We enjoyed it so much we booked an additional week and private lessons. Whether you're a professional chef or someone who's always dreamed of being in a professional kitchen. Do yourself a favor, this is the place!

Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
