Action Point
Tucked away in the tranquil Rawai area of southern Phuket, Action Point is a residential fitness retreat offering a genuinely immersive wellness experience that goes well beyond a standard gym or spa visit. The facility brings together personal training, group fitness classes, Muay Thai coaching, nutrition guidance, and mental wellness programming under one roof, attracting visitors who are serious about making meaningful lifestyle changes rather than simply ticking off a holiday activity. Guests can expect a structured yet supportive environment with a strong sense of community. Visitor feedback highlights the quality of accommodation and food on-site, with the kitchen producing meals described as both healthy and genuinely delicious. The coaching team, led by a hands-on management presence, is consistently praised for providing personalised direction, education around nutrition and body composition, and the kind of motivation that keeps guests extending their stays. The atmosphere is inclusive and results-oriented without feeling intimidating. Good to know: Action Point functions more as a stay-based retreat than a drop-in facility, so prospective visitors should reach out directly to understand programme lengths, pricing, and availability before arriving. Stays of two weeks or more appear to be common, and several guests have extended their bookings once on-site. The Rawai location sits away from Phuket's busier tourist strips, making it a quieter base, though taxis and tuk-tuks provide straightforward access to the rest of the island. Contacting the venue in advance is strongly recommended to confirm current schedules and book your place.

Visitor Reviews
Absolutely loved my time at Action Point! Such a uniquely tailored experience which gave me not just a fitness and nutrition focused component but one also equally focused on mental wellness. I came looking to reset and re-align, and found myself connecting with others there for a multitude of reasons. The staff were fantastic, super inclusive and accomodating and really worked to ensure an optimal experience. Gareth went above an beyond to create a fun time with 10/10 vibes. Sam’s wellness coaching and private sessions really brought some outside and professional perspective to enable sustained changes towards better mental wellness. Peanut, always making people feel good and ensuring everyone felt included. Lek and Gift and the rest of the kitchen crew always smiling and bring the good vibes (and delicious healthy tastes) and being super accomodating to the various personal food requests. Excellent trainers, Eric and Jani, making the effort not to just train you but to connect personally. I also never thought I’d get into Muay Thai, but Angelos made it so fun and never have I felt fitter in my life and hungering for more Muay Thai (while also leaving with sore abs from laughing so much)! if it’s not the Action Point crew, the micro community it fosters as people rotate in and out really you connect with others and make some more adventures. My room also felt like a 5-star hotel room, and more than comfortable for my time there, which definitely differentiated Action Point from some of the others in helping me choose. There is something for everyone at Action Point and I definitely left feeling a renewed sense of purpose and reconnecting with myself after some of the baggage life can load you up with at time to time. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I went for 4 weeks and while that sounded like a lot initially, it wasn’t long enough because I didn’t want to leave. Whatever your reason (probably don’t even need a reason really), Action Point is a great time and you should definitely book yourself in!
I originally planned to stay at Action Point for 2 weeks but it was so awesome that I stayed for a month. The groups classes, PTs and Muy Thai trainers are all excellent. My body has changed, the way I feel about it and fuel it has changed, and I have cut out some bad habits around food. And I had so much fun at the same time - AP is a lovely inclusive supportive community and I made lovely new friends. It was my birthday during my stay and the staff and guests made me feel so special. I remote worked from AP too - the nice rooms and reliable wifi make this easy to do (you can't workout 24 hours a day!). I've already booked to return next year- can't wait!
I have nothing but brilliant things to say about my experience at Action Point. The rooms are beautiful, the food is incredible - so tasty and healthy and the kitchen staff are absolutely amazing. They are always smiling and give you the best service. The trainers are so exceptional - literally world-class athletes. They adapt everything to your level and are so kind and encouraging. All of the staff at Action Point are so wonderful and helpful. They made my stay the best it could possibly be. If you’re looking for a world-class retreat experience, Action Point is it!
Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
