Health Land Resort & Spa

4.4(657 reviews)

Situated along Sukhumvit Road in central Pattaya, this property functions as both a hotel and a dedicated wellness destination, combining spa treatments with health club facilities and resort-style accommodation. The grounds are notably spacious and well-maintained, with a grand reception area, abundant parking, and two swimming pools that set it apart from more compact city hotels.

Guests consistently highlight the calm, restorative atmosphere as the property's defining quality, with comfortable rooms and attentive staff across all areas contributing to a genuinely relaxing stay. The facility caters to both overnight guests and those seeking day spa services, making it a flexible option whether visitors are in Pattaya for a single afternoon or several nights. Reviews suggest the property performs best for travellers whose primary goal is rest and wellness rather than those expecting a full luxury resort experience, with some noting that the amenities and rooms are solid rather than exceptional.

This is a hotel that is truly perfect for relaxation and genuine wellness. The overall atmosphere feels very calming. The rooms are excellent and very comfortable to sleep in. Staff in every area provide good service, especially at the Ginger restaurant, where the service is outstanding. The only exception is the staff member handling spa reservations, who seemed unfriendly and very unprepared to provide service. However, the spa zone itself offers great service, the massage therapists are excellent and very attentive to customers. Overall, it is definitely worth the price, and I will certainly return for future stays.

Frankly speaking, this hotel in general is decent and neat, with abundant parking spaces and even have two swimming pools. However, the interior "arrangement" is hilarious (I don't want to use the word "design"). Take the pendant light (the attached photo) as an example. I'm 5ft9in, this funny setting keeps hitting my head whenever I get out of bed or turn around on the couch. What a genius to put this in the middle of the aisle!?

I had high hopes for the hotel but ultimately it was average at best. I got a great last minute deal at 50% off and thought even what I paid was too much - certainly full price would be. The rooms are nicely designed at first, but only after staying do you realise the flaws: The NOISE! I was placed in a ground floor room next to the front entrance of the garden wing. The door and walls to my room must have been made of paper because it was so noisy that I was constantly woken up by other very noisy guests exiting and entering at night and morning. MOSQUITOS - The room constantly had mosquitos. I spent at least 20minutes a day trying to rid them. Phone sockets not near the bed. This should be a standard at this price point. I also would expect better quality coffee and tea in the room at this price point. As for the resort the pool area was nice and always quiet. The pool though did look like it doesn’t regularly get cleaned as there were substantial build up of leaves and debris in the bottom. The breakfast was below standard at this price point. Low quality ingredients throughout and not a great choice. Overall the service was very good throughout the resort. Particularly the bell boys at the from were always smily and warm as well as the pool staff. The reception I found to be a little cold and no particular extra care was given or a cold towel or welcome drink provided which is usual at this price in Thailand. I was also disappointed that the popular spa that is attached to the resort didn’t offer anything special for those staying at their hotel. A small discount or something would have been nice. My massage there was also average. Finally the hotel isn’t in a convenient location if you want to be in the heart of the action. But grab cars are easy to get and you are about 20minutes to get to places. Overall I was disappointed.

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas

Learn Wat Pho First

Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.

Communicate Pressure Preferences

Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.

Book Longer Sessions

A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
