ランナマッサージ(Lanna Massage)
Tucked away in the Tambon Tha-nu area of Ayutthaya's Uthai district, this family-run massage parlour has built a loyal following among both local residents and visiting travellers. It is particularly noted for its professional massage techniques and welcoming atmosphere, with staff able to communicate in English, Chinese, and Japanese — a practical advantage for international visitors navigating Thailand's ancient capital. The parlour offers traditional massage services and is considered a legitimate, reputable establishment. Reviewers consistently highlight the quality of the massage work itself, and the venue carries a family-friendly atmosphere that sets it apart from some of the more anonymous massage shops found near tourist centres. It is conveniently located near an outdoor weekend market and several bars, making it an easy addition to an evening out or a rest stop between sightseeing. A few practical points worth knowing before visiting: the parlour operates on a queue system for masseuse allocation rather than allowing individual selection, so those with strong preferences should keep this in mind. Some visitors have noted that sessions can run slightly shorter than the booked time, typically finishing around ten minutes early. Given its popularity, booking ahead is advisable, especially during busier periods. No website is currently listed, so contacting the venue directly or visiting in person to reserve a slot is the most reliable approach.

Visitor Reviews
I can only give 5 stars, but I'd give it 10. Lanna Massage is a family-friendly place with excellent massage techniques and great value for money. They speak Chinese, English, and Japanese! All the masseuses, the owner, and my two-year-old brother shared toys and food with my daughter so we could relax and take turns getting massages. We came here for two consecutive days and highly recommend it to tourists visiting Ayutthaya. Besides the excellent techniques, it's also a place that really loves children. Thank you, Lanna Massage!
Easily the best place in Ayutthaya for a professional massage. It gets busy so booking is better. I wish I could choose my masseuse but they use a queue system to be fair. Anyhow highly recommended and you won't regret it. Anything less than a two hours is a waste of time so come prepared for a lengthy therapeutic massage.

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
