Ayutthaya City Park
Ayutthaya City Park is a sprawling indoor-outdoor shopping complex sitting just off the Asia Highway on the outskirts of Ayutthaya's historic centre. With over 500 stores spread across its grounds, it functions as the region's primary retail hub, connecting to Robinson department store and Lotus to form one of the largest shopping precincts in the province. For travellers spending more than a day in Ayutthaya, it offers a convenient one-stop destination well beyond what the temple ruins and riverside can provide. Visitors can expect a broad mix of price points, from budget bargains to mid-range branded goods, alongside a solid selection of mobile phones, electronics, and IT accessories. Food and drink options are plentiful, with coffee shops, a food court, and sit-down dining including a Sizzler restaurant. Banking services are also available on-site, making it a practical stop for those needing to handle everyday errands alongside their shopping. The complex is open every day from 10:00 to 21:00, which makes it a natural late-afternoon destination after a morning spent visiting Ayutthaya's temples and ruins. It draws a predominantly local crowd, giving it a more relaxed atmosphere than comparable malls closer to Bangkok, though visitors arriving from the capital will find a familiar layout and similar retail offerings. Parking is available for those travelling by car or hired vehicle, and the site is reachable from central Ayutthaya by tuk-tuk or songthaew.

Visitor Reviews
Day trip from Bangkok to Ayutthaya, the most recent, previous capital of Siam. Local train from Krueng Thep Aphiwat...style and (third) class all the way, baby! Temples, ruins, more gold Buddhas and what looks like a limestone recline-r. Tuk tuk ride around to the various spots with a couple of rest stops. And more big feet. And gold. Lots more gold. And big, big Buddhas, big gold Buddhas. Reminds me of the old movie, Chinese Ghost Story Part 3.... Look it up. And sun. And humidity. Bring a brolly, not for rain though you could almost pray for some at the next Buddha you see. And you will see another. And another. Ayutthaya is a far bigger town (city?) than I realise, and it would have been tough trying to get around without some kind of motorised transport. It's easier to book a tuk tuk for the day, or would be difficult trying to find one at the more remote stops. And cycling seemed like a good idea, until the heat, and humidity hits. You'll almost not want to go on to the next temple, or Buddha. Did I mention you'll see Buddhas. Lots. Of. Buddhas. And gold. Lots. Of. Gold. Lots. Of. Gold. Buddhas.
Stop here and get everything done. Whether you are going to shop, do your banking transactions, eat some food, or drink coffee, almost everything is available here. Mobile phones and IT accessories are in hundreds of shop on the second floor. Movie theaters are new. Thousand lots of parking area. You can stay here for a whole day without any seconds of boring.
Very close to malls that are on the outskirts of Bangkok. Gives a decent Bangkok vibe (although you will notice differences). It’s all connected, the mall section, Robinson and Lotus. There’s a Sizzler here - the rest are for shopping. While there are several malls in the vicinity, I think this is the most complete one.

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
