Chatuchak Park MRT Station
If you're doing Chatuchak Weekend Market, this is the station you want. It sits on the MRT Blue Line right by Chatuchak Park, and the market is an easy walk from the exits. On a Saturday morning the platforms fill up with people carrying empty tote bags, and by late afternoon the same people are carrying full ones.
The other reason to know this station is the interchange. Mo Chit BTS is next door, so you can swap between the underground and the Skytrain here and reach most of Bangkok without ever getting in a taxi. The catch is that the two systems don't share a concourse. You come up, walk a short stretch at street level, and go back in with a separate ticket. It's a few minutes, but in April heat with luggage it feels longer, so build in the time.
Underneath, the Metro Mall is a small run of shops and services in the station corridor. Useful for a cold drink or a quick errand, not somewhere you'd make a trip for.
