Alter Ego
Alter Ego sits on Pattayasaisong Road and operates as both a restaurant and cocktail bar, drawing regulars with a combination of carefully prepared food, above-average presentation, and a drinks menu that runs to more than ten pages — including a notable Belgian beer selection. The room is dimly lit and comfortable, and the pace is unhurried. Guest reviews consistently highlight the quality-to-price ratio on the food side, with dishes arriving well-plated and fresh rather than the mass-produced approach common at larger tourist venues nearby. A good choice for a meal before or instead of heading out, or for a long evening of drinks without a cover charge or entertainment agenda.

Visitor Reviews
Back again after one year, and he still actual as best food experience here in Pattaya! Worth the visit! High standard, it could deserve at least a Michelin star. Added just a couple of pictures related to last dinner here, just to show. But definitively yoy must go there and try the whole food experience by yourselves. Lat but not leasr, good wine selection.
i dont know what to say but it was the best experience of dining so far in Pattaya in terms of food quality, taste and price was just and fair. drinks were listed on more than 10 pages. im actually a small eater but honestly i finished all the dishes without hesitation and sharing! dessert was also amazing!
Great service, cosy little restaurant and amazing wait staff. But most importantly, impeccable food and a fabulous array of Belgian beers. This place is super good value for the quality of food. I haven’t had a better meal in Pattaya!

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
