Gatsby Lounge
Gatsby Lounge stands out in Pattaya's busy nightlife landscape as a genuinely sophisticated cocktail bar that trades the city's usual high-energy chaos for something considerably more refined. Tucked along Pattayasaisong Road in Muang Pattaya, it draws visitors who are after elegance rather than excess, with a stylish interior, carefully crafted cocktails, and a relaxed but lively ambience that feels distinctly unlike the surrounding entertainment strip. The cocktail programme is clearly the centrepiece here. Visitors consistently highlight the quality and creativity of the drinks, with craft classics like the Old Fashioned drawing particular praise for their execution and presentation. Small plates are also available, adding a food element that suits those settling in for the evening rather than just passing through. Live music features on selected nights, enhancing the lounge atmosphere further, and the staff are frequently noted for being friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Good to know: Fridays and Saturdays are the busiest nights, so those who prefer a livelier atmosphere should aim for the weekend, while weeknights offer a quieter, more intimate experience. Opening hours are not listed online, so it is worth checking ahead before making it the centrepiece of an evening out. Smart-casual dress fits the venue's upscale tone well.

Visitor Reviews
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The perfect Old Fashioned experience! I had the Old Fashioned crafted by Ian at Gatsby Lounge Pattaya, and it was simply exceptional. From the moment it arrived in the beautifully cut crystal glass, glowing softly under the bar light, I knew I was in for a treat. The balance of flavor was spot on — smooth, rich, and perfectly blended with just the right hint of sweetness and citrus. Ian’s attention to detail and presentation elevated the entire experience. It’s clear he takes pride in his craft, turning a classic cocktail into something memorable. Easily one of the best Old Fashioneds I’ve had anywhere in Thailand. A must-try if you’re in Pattaya and appreciate a well-made classic done to perfection.
What a relaxing change of pace in Pattaya. A great place to go with some close friends or a date and enjoy some truly craft cocktails. The small plates are high quality as well. There are still plenty of “traditional” fun places around within walking distance if you want to party but this place is a breath of fresh air in a city that sometimes needs it. Can’t wait to come back. As a bonus the music is quite swanky as well while still being fun.
Amazing cocktails at great prices with friendly, attentive staff. The atmosphere is excellent — stylish, comfortable, and complemented by live music. We tried several cocktails and were extremely happy with both the drinks and the overall experience. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re out in Pattaya.
Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
