Highland Paradise Koh Samui
Tucked away in the hills of Bo Phut on Koh Samui, Highland Paradise offers something increasingly rare on the island: stunning panoramic views without the crowds. While similar hilltop venues have been swamped by social media attention, this spot has retained a quieter, more relaxed character that visitors consistently highlight as part of its appeal. The setting is lush and peaceful, making it as much a place to linger over drinks as it is a proper dining destination. The menu is broad enough to satisfy a range of tastes, and the kitchen accommodates vegan diners by adapting certain dishes on request. Cocktails draw particular praise alongside the food, and the overall experience — attentive service, generous views, and a calm atmosphere — makes it well suited to both daytime visits and early evening meals. The open hours run from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, seven days a week, covering everything from a late breakfast through to a post-sunset dinner. Good to know: The late afternoon to early evening window is worth targeting for the transition from daylight views to a more atmospheric setting as the sun goes down. Given its off-the-beaten-path location in the hills, arriving by scooter or arranging a taxi in advance is advisable. For current menu details, seasonal specials, or to check for any updates before visiting, the restaurant maintains an active Facebook page.

Visitor Reviews
Highland Paradise truly lives up to its name. It’s a beautiful place with a peaceful atmosphere and a stunning setting that makes you want to stay longer and enjoy the moment. The location is lovely, perfect for relaxing and taking in the surroundings. The food is delicious, well-prepared, and full of flavor, and the menu offers something for everyone. The staff are very friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. A great spot to unwind, enjoy good food, and soak in the atmosphere. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a special place to visit.
Everyone runs to jungle club because of tik tok, but this is the hidden gem. Drinks were great, the service and the people were exceptional. And the views were stunning. It was so quiet, the waiter was even taking photos! Very steep getting up but fine with experienced drivers- (you can park and walk up if necessary). Bring mosquito repellent at night. My girlfriend loved her mai tai
It's an amazing place with friendly staff and the best view we've come across on the entire island. The food was very tasty and there is a lot of dishes to choose from. You can also veganize some dishes if you ask (e.g. replace meat with tofu). The price performance ratio is also very good. We ordered like half a dozen dishes so of course that adds up :-)

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
