The Jungle Club
Perched high in the hills of Bo Put, The Jungle Club is a clifftop restaurant, bar, and resort that draws visitors for its dramatic scenery as much as its food. Open-air decks are built directly into the hillside, creating a nature-immersed atmosphere that feels genuinely distinct from Koh Samui's beach-focused venues. The elevated setting delivers sweeping views over the island's coastline, making it a particularly popular spot around sunset. The menu focuses on Thai classics, with visitor favourites including Pad Thai, Tom Yum Goong, and spring rolls. The food is consistently well-regarded across reviews, and the combination of quality cooking, attentive staff, and a striking natural setting makes it a reliable choice for both lunch and dinner. The venue also offers lodging, so it functions as more than a day-trip destination for those looking to extend their stay. A few practical points are worth knowing before visiting. The road up is steep, and attempting it by scooter is strongly discouraged — using the venue's designated pick-up point is the recommended approach. Booking in advance is advisable, as seating is not guaranteed on arrival, particularly during busy periods. Some lower deck areas lack railings, which is worth keeping in mind for those travelling with young children. Opening hours are not listed online, so confirming directly before making the trip up is a sensible precaution.

Visitor Reviews
The food was absolutely delicious. We chose Pad Thai and Tom Yum Goong soup – both were excellent. The spring rolls were also very good. The way up was a bit steep, but we managed it easily on the scooter with two people. For dessert, we had mango sticky rice, which was amazing. In total, we paid 1,500 baht. Overall, it is quite a touristy place, but I would definitely come back just for the food. It’s really highly recommended. In the evening, the view is absolutely stunning.
Great spot! Highly recommend booking in advance as you are not guaranteed a seat. We only waited a short while and we're put at a lounger for drinks prior to a table freeing up for us. Great food at good price. Thai food moreso than western but prices fine for such a sought after location. A couple of park and collect spots along the road up as the road is very steep at points and wouldn't suit someone not confident riding or driving.
We visited the restaurant and had a great experience and a fantastic view! Important to know: Get picked up at the pick-up point and don't even try to ride your scooter up there! The trip up and back costs 50 ฿ per person. More than fair. The menu offers a good selection, but is not overly extensive, and we really enjoyed the food. The salad in particular was very fresh and delicious.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
