Rocks Restaurant
Rocks Restaurant sits within the Cape Nidhra Hotel on Phet Kasem Road, occupying a beachfront position that gives diners a coastal setting for everything from a relaxed breakfast to a celebratory dinner. The restaurant draws consistent praise from visitors for the quality of its kitchen and the warmth of its staff, with named team members frequently mentioned in reviews — a detail that speaks to the personal level of service on offer. The menu leans international, with dishes such as lamb ribs, seabass, tuna, Caesar salad with shrimp, and chicken with mashed potatoes representing the kind of range that suits both adventurous diners and families with younger children. The kitchen handles both casual all-day dining and more formal occasions, and visitors who have stayed at Cape Nidhra for extended periods report that the menu holds up well across multiple evenings. Wine is available, and the overall atmosphere is described as pleasant and relaxed compared to larger resort dining rooms in the area. Good to know: Rocks Restaurant is open every day from 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM, covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner without interruption. While the restaurant is accessible to non-hotel guests, those planning a dinner during Hua Hin's peak season between November and February would be wise to book ahead to secure a preferred table. The restaurant's own website at capenidhra.com carries current menu and reservation information.

Visitor Reviews
Everything was incredibly delicious. We ordered the lamb ribs, seabass, tuna, Caesar salad with shrimp, chicken with mashed potatoes for the kids, and a dessert. We also had a bottle of Sauvignon — it complemented the meal perfectly. Everything was truly top-level. We also appreciated the lovely complimentary macarons — such a nice and thoughtful touch. A special thank-you to the staff. Unfortunately, we didn’t catch the name of one waiter, but the other one, Sub, was wonderful. The service was attentive, friendly, and very professional. We were especially impressed by how well they treated the kids — you can really see they try their best to make children feel comfortable and happy. We truly enjoyed our experience and will definitely come back again. A great place with delicious food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere!
Been here for 2 nights (Cape Nidhra). Even though it was cloudy & a bit rainy in the morning, K'Fon & K'Bua served us really well with smile. They brightened up our breakfast in these cloudy day. With a glass of refreshing sparkling wine (only on Sat, Sun & Wed), things got even better. At the dinner, K'Phimol served us really really well. The food, the cocktails, the service, the atmosphere, they're all great. Actually, all staffs are nice. Just able to catch some names. The hotel is nice, clean & well maintained. Such a nice place for a vacation. Will be here again for sure.

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
