Big Fish & Bar
Situated within the Hua Hin Marriott Resort & Spa, Big Fish & Bar is an evening seafood restaurant and bar combining a beachside setting with attentive resort-standard service. The kitchen centres its menu around fresh catches, including locally sourced fish prepared in traditional Thai styles — curries made with fresh Thai ingredients feature among the highlights — while chefs prepare many dishes to order at the table. The atmosphere is relaxed but polished, suited to couples and families alike looking for a quiet dinner by the sea. Staff are consistently noted for their attentiveness, with returning guests frequently mentioning personalised service as a standout quality. Ocean views and a seaside setting contribute to the overall dining experience, making it a natural choice for a leisurely evening meal rather than a quick stop. Good to know: Big Fish & Bar operates exclusively in the evening, opening at 17:00 and closing at 23:00 every day of the week. Non-resort guests are welcome and can make use of hotel parking facilities on arrival. Smart casual dress is appropriate for the setting — neat clothing is expected, and beachwear is best left behind. Given the restaurant's resort location and consistent reputation, booking ahead is advisable during Hua Hin's peak tourist season, particularly on weekends.

Visitor Reviews
Lovely Dining Experience with Ocean Views We had a wonderful meal at this restaurant! The food was fresh and delicious, with several chefs ready to prepare dishes to order. Despite the restaurant being full due to the long weekend, we were lucky to be seated at a stunning spot with a direct view of the ocean. As it lightly drizzled outside, we enjoyed being indoors, watching the sky change from soft blue to deep navy—truly a calming and memorable setting. The hotel staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. Even though we weren’t hotel guests, they kindly offered buggy transport to and from the restaurant, which was a thoughtful touch. Out of the three dishes we ordered, my favorite was the red snapper with three-flavor sauce. The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside—absolutely delicious! Overall, the experience was fantastic and well worth the price. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip! Grateful for the complimentary cake!
What can I say, Marriott truly stands out when it comes to customer service and delivering quality, well-crafted dishes that live up to their standards. We had an evening meal at their seaside restaurant, and it was impressively busy. They have an open kitchen, so you can watch the chefs in action, focused, composed, and clearly passionate about what they do. You can feel the energy and the pressure, but in a good way that shows how much pride they take in their work. The food was exceptional, flavorful, savory, and absolutely delicious. And as always, their customer service was top-notch, making sure every guest enjoys a wonderful and memorable dining experience.
I’ve visited several times now, and every experience has been exceptional. The service is thoughtful and attentive, with staff who genuinely remember personal details—like my preference for still water at room temperature—which makes each visit feel special. The food is consistently delicious, beautifully prepared, and served in generous portions. Add in the stunning aesthetic and breathtaking sea views, and this place delivers an experience that keeps me coming back again and again.

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
