Amber Kitchen
Amber Kitchen serves as the main all-day dining restaurant at the Hua Hin Marriott Resort & Spa on Phet Kasem Road, drawing both hotel guests and outside visitors with a breakfast buffet that regularly earns high praise. Reviewers highlight the generous spread of Asian and international options, and the mango sticky rice with coconut milk has been called out specifically as a standout dish. The kitchen also takes dietary requirements seriously, with staff known to consult chefs directly for guests managing gluten or soy allergies. The atmosphere is relaxed and resort-comfortable, with attentive service that suits everything from a quiet family breakfast to a birthday celebration dinner. Operating hours run from 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM every day of the week, making it a flexible option across all meal periods. Some returning visitors have noted a dip in food quality and variety compared to earlier years, so expectations are worth setting accordingly, though recent reviews remain largely positive. For practical planning, the breakfast buffet is the most talked-about service, so arriving before 9:00 AM helps secure a good table during busy tourist periods. Non-hotel guests are welcome but should consider contacting the resort in advance during peak Hua Hin seasons, particularly around Thai public holidays and long weekends when the resort fills quickly. Casual resort attire works well for breakfast and lunch, with slightly smarter dress appropriate for evening dining.

Visitor Reviews
I've stayed in many Marriotts in Thailand - from Chiang Rai to Phuket. I rate this breakfast buffet the best in the business, aside from Queens Park Marriott in BKK. The buffet spread is huge, with a wide variety of Thai and international options alongside fresh fruits, pastries, eggs made to order, juices, and great coffee selections. Many guests rave about the quality and variety, and it’s clear why — there’s something for every taste, from Western classics to flavorful Thai favorites.
Mango sticky rice is a tropical love story on a plate — the soft, cloud-like sticky rice is gently infused with the creamy aroma of coconut milk, while slices of golden mango add a burst of juicy sweetness with a hint of tang. Together, they create a perfect harmony of flavor and texture. Every bite melts on the tongue like sunshine captured in dessert form — warm, bright, and blissfully sweet.
Great place! The service and food were amazing! They were very good with allergies, gluten and soy. The staff checked with the chief many times to be extra safe - we could eat and sleep in peace knowing there were no mistakes. Thank you for a wonderful dinner. We will go back again soon.

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
