Praça
Situated within The Standard resort on Soi Naresdamri, Praça occupies a prime beachfront position that sets it apart from most dining options in Hua Hin. The restaurant combines direct sea views with lush surrounding greenery, creating an atmosphere that visitors consistently describe as calm, stylish, and refined without feeling formal or stiff. It draws both resort guests and independent travellers looking for a quality dining experience alongside the ocean. The menu centres on Thai cuisine, with attentive staff who are noted for their personal approach to service and willingness to guide guests through dish selections. Outdoor beachfront seating is a key feature, making it well suited to leisurely lunches, sunset dinners, or late evening meals. The setting feels considered rather than incidental — guests tend to linger, which speaks to how the space and experience are put together. Praça opens daily at noon and stays open until midnight, so there is genuine flexibility regardless of when visitors are in Hua Hin. The beachfront tables are particularly appealing in the early evening as the heat eases, and this is likely to be the busiest period. Those visiting during peak season or with a larger group are advised to check availability through the restaurant's website at pracahuahin.com before arriving, as walk-in seating may be limited at popular times.

Visitor Reviews
What a decent little spot… Set right on the beach, it has this relaxed but refined vibe that instantly makes you feel like you’re in one of the more luxurious corners of Hua Hin, without being stiff or pretentious. The menu is built around small, tapas style plates, which is perfect for sharing and trying a bit of everything. Standout dishes for me were the Australian Wagyu beef salad, genuinely divine, beautifully balanced, and packed with flavour, and the tuna tartare, which was absolutely spot on. Fresh, clean, and done properly. Service was excellent throughout. Attentive without hovering, friendly, and professional. You feel well looked after from the moment you sit down. Pricing is very reasonable for the quality, setting, and overall experience. It feels premium, but not in a way that’s going to hurt your wallet. Great food, great atmosphere, and a stunning beachfront setting. It’s easily a must visit if you’re in Hua Hin and want something that feels special but still relaxed. Highly recommended.
An exceptional high end Thai restaurant with impeccable yet personal service and amazing food! Located inside the resort, The Standard, the space was beautiful with outdoor seating at the beachfront and interesting house cocktails. The food was really amazing for the price. Definitely go for their exclusive Omakase set because the creativity of each dish and the usual Thai dishes are deliciously reimagined. I came to celebrate my birthday and was not disappointed. Thank you for the wonderful experience. Ps: thw food prices weee really reasonable but the drinks took up the bulk of the bill.
The perfect beachfront dinner in Hua Hin. If you are staying at The Standard or just visiting Hua Hin, you have to stop by Praça. We spent a few hours here enjoying the laid-back. The highlight was the 7-course set menu (1,600++ THB). For the quality of food and the beautiful beachfront setting, it felt like a bargain. The flavors were bold and well-presented, making it a very special meal without being too formal or "stiff." It’s the perfect spot to relax, listen to the waves, and enjoy some really good Thai food. Definitely coming back!

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
