The Standard, Hua Hin
Compare prices
The Standard, Hua Hin occupies a prime beachfront position in one of Thailand's most established coastal destinations, offering direct beach access, sea views, and the kind of considered service culture that the wider Standard Hotels brand has become known for. What sets the property apart physically is its layout — rather than a single tower block, rooms are distributed across several low-rise buildings, giving the resort a more intimate, village-like feel that larger beachfront hotels often lack. The grounds are well maintained, and the combination of beach access and proximity to central Hua Hin means guests are well placed for both relaxation and exploration. Guests consistently note that service runs smoothly from arrival through to in-stay requests, with activity bookings and day-to-day operations handled attentively. On-site dining is available at Praca restaurant, and the broader programming offered by the resort gives it more texture than a standard beach stay. The town's night markets, seafood restaurants, and old fishing pier are all within easy reach, making it a practical base as well as a comfortable retreat. Good to know: Hua Hin's cool season, running from November through February, brings lower humidity and minimal rainfall — the most comfortable conditions for making full use of beach access. December and January see the highest demand along this stretch of coast, so booking well in advance is advisable for travel during those months.

Visitor Reviews
We had a great stay at The Standard Hua Hin and would 100% recommend this hotel. The property is much larger than expected, but because the rooms are spread across several low-rise, decentralized buildings rather than one large block, it never feels overwhelming or crowded. The pool area is significantly bigger than it appears in the photos, at least to me, and it for sure is one of the highlights of the hotel. One small downside is the beach situation: in the mornings, the water level was very high, so it was not possible to lie directly on the beach. Breakfast was excellent, with a very wide selection and plenty of healthy options. Egg dishes and coffee are served directly at the table, while everything else is available at the buffet. The quality was consistently high. A very cool extra was the coffee & juice bar right at the entrance, directly in front of the open jungle like reception. They serve really great and creative coffees. It would have been amazing if these drinks could also be ordered directly to the pool 😊 We also tried both the Italian restaurant and the beachfront restaurant, and both were very good in terms of food and atmosphere. Overall, The Standard feels very modern and stylish. Since we stayed at other hotels in Hua Hin and had a direct comparison, this one stood out for us. If you prefer a contemporary, non-traditional hotel design, The Standard is an excellent choice.
We recently dined at Praca restaurant in The Standard and while our experience began with a small hiccup, what stood out most was how exceptionally the hotel handled it. There was an issue with a dining experience that didn’t go as planned, but instead of being defensive or dismissive, the management team took the feedback seriously, responded promptly, and went out of their way to make things right. Their approach was sincere, professional, and genuinely guest-focused — not just about ticking boxes, but about restoring trust and ensuring we left feeling valued. In hospitality, things can occasionally go wrong anywhere. What separates a good hotel from a great one is how they recover. The Standard absolutely excelled here. We felt heard, respected, and looked after — which says a lot about the culture of the team. Beyond that, the hotel itself is beautiful, stylish, and relaxed, with a wonderful beachfront setting and a great vibe. But what really makes it special is the people behind the scenes who care enough to fix things when they matter most. We left with a very positive impression and would happily return — not just because of the design and location, but because of the integrity and professionalism of the team. Special shout-out goes to GM Constant Wormser, F&B Director Anthony Pagani, and Executive Chef Sebastian Reischer. Highly recommended.
We have just had a wonderful 2 week stay in Hua Hin @ the standard. The hotel is beautiful, right on the beach , amazing views & close to town for a night out . The breakfast is great , comfortable atmosphere and very chilled around the pool . Nice DJ and happy hr for a chilled beer early evening. Great restaurant. The rooms are very clean & most importantly very comfortable beds . Book a twin and you actually get 2 double beds , we love this . What is out standing is the service. We actually stayed last year and received such a lovely welcome from the reception team . Makes you feel part of the family. Throughout our stay it’s all smiles and makes you feel special. Pui the front of house manager has an amazing team . Pui deserves a special mention as she assisted in helping us rebook for 2027. However things turned out to be very difficult as we headed to the airport, our flight was cancelled due to the Middle East conflict. I messaged Pui to ask if she could help . Straight away she said she would look and has been able to offer us rooms and support until we are able to return home to Cyprus. Pui your a star and we will see you today as we head back from Bangkok airport . Truly above and beyond service. Big thanks Pete & jane
