Trench Town Rasta Bar - Soi LK Metro
Trench Town Rasta Bar stands out on Soi LK Metro as one of the few venues in Pattaya's busy nightlife district that trades high-energy club culture for genuine reggae atmosphere. The bar draws a loyal mix of tourists and regulars who come for the Caribbean-inspired setting, live music, and a vibe that feels more like a community hangout than a polished tourist venue. It is a consistent favourite for those looking to step away from the mainstream and settle into something more characterful. Visitors can expect reggae music as the soundtrack of the night, with live entertainment that is open to song requests — a detail that keeps the atmosphere personal and interactive. The decor and overall feel lean into authentic Jamaican culture, and the staff are frequently praised for being welcoming and genuine. Drinks are reasonably priced by Pattaya standards, with beers available at local bar rates. Good to know: Trench Town is best experienced during evening hours when the live music is in full swing. Soi LK Metro is centrally located and easy to reach on foot from most parts of central Pattaya, making it a convenient stop on a night out. Dress is entirely casual, and no booking is required. One visitor noted a minor dispute over change, so it is worth confirming your bill before paying — a sensible habit at any bar in the area.

Visitor Reviews
Loved this bar! Great atmosphere, great music, great drinks and great service! This is a nice little bar primarily a Reggae bar but the live entertainment will consider song requests. There are two in Pattaya, we preferred this one on Soi Buakhao. All the staff were great but especially the girls in the photos ❤️. If you like Reggae and Ska music try it out, if you don't.....try it anyway 🍻👍
Ya man, dis place irie for real. From di moment yuh step inside, di reggae vibes hit yuh nice and easy—sweet riddims, good energy, and nuff smiles all around. Di bar got dat proper Jamaican feel: relaxed, welcoming, and full a good spirit. Big respect. Mi definitely comin’ back.
My favorite bar in town so far, everyone here is great ..
Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
