Bodega Bar
A well-established open-sided bar in the heart of Pattaya, Bodega Bar has built a loyal following among expats, backpackers, and independent travellers looking for affordable drinks and a no-fuss atmosphere. Chang beer runs at 55 baht a bottle, and the bar draws a sociable mix of regulars and visitors who tend to keep the conversation flowing. Live music kicks in from around 8pm, adding energy to the later evening without the venue losing its relaxed, unpretentious character. The open-sided layout keeps things casual and airy, and the staff are generally noted for being friendly and quick to serve, particularly during quieter periods. It sits away from the beachfront but remains conveniently located for those exploring Pattaya's entertainment district on foot. The crowd skews toward those who want a genuine drink without being drawn into the more commercially driven bar scene elsewhere in the city. Good to know: Happy hour runs from 7am until 7pm — an unusually long window that makes early evening visits particularly good value. Service can slow noticeably when the bar gets busy, so arriving earlier in the evening is advisable for a better experience. Reviewers have flagged the toilet facilities as being in poor condition, so it is worth bearing that in mind before settling in for a long session.

Lovely bar if you just want to be left alone without the company of the ladies, the staff are quick off the mark to serve you, the bar has a happy hour 7am till 7pm. Live music from about 8pm and the pie man comes around about 7.30pm
My favorite place in whole Pattaya! The staff is super friendly and service is fast! If you enjoy good live music and chill atmosphere, this is your place to go.
I have been coming to this open sided bar for years. Happy hour runs from 7am until 7pm. Chang costs 55 baht a bottle. Amiable staff and expat regular customers. It is common to hear German, French and English being spoken at all times of the day and night.

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
