Big C Extra Central Pattaya
One of Pattaya's largest hypermarkets, this Big C Extra on Thanon Pattaya Klang functions as a genuine one-stop destination rather than a typical tourist shopping stop. The sprawling floor space covers an impressive range of departments — fresh produce, packaged groceries, cookware, sportswear, electronics, and household goods — alongside a food court area with recognisable chains including Dunkin' Donuts and Dairy Queen. Tourists often find it a reliable spot to pick up reasonably priced souvenirs, snacks, and local food products to bring home. The atmosphere is clean, air-conditioned, and well-organised, making it a comfortable break from the heat and a practical alternative to navigating outdoor markets. Visitors staying in self-catering accommodation or serviced apartments nearby will find the supermarket section particularly useful for stocking up on quality groceries at competitive prices. The range of clothing and sports equipment also makes it worth browsing for those who need practical items mid-trip. Good to know: The centre opens daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, offering flexibility for both morning and evening visits. Late afternoon and early evening tend to be busiest, so a mid-morning visit is likely to be more relaxed. Ample parking is available on site for travellers with a rental vehicle. Some visitors have noted that toilet facilities could be better maintained, so managing expectations there is worthwhile.

A very big supermarket from the famous big c chain. Probably the biggest in this city. Be sure to get something from here at very decent rates. Tourists are sure to find something to bring home to such as famous local snacks. You can also buy ready to eats here.
Fantastic mall. You can basically buy anything here. Food stores such as Dunkin Donuts, Dairy Queen and Potato Corner. Grocery from the Big C supermarket. Sport equipment like football cleats, jerseys, gloves, retro jerseys, shin pads and socks. Furniture is also available on the second flour. Tourist souvenirs such as Thai pants, Thai shirts and other cool stuff. There are multiple jewellery shops in the mall and you can even get a massage. Awesome mall.

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
