Bathrooms are clean. Facilities are professionally run. Breakfast and dinner events are professional akin to hotels. Campground is kept safe and clean. Food and water is available at the cafe fromorning until night. Kayak and fishing rods are available for use. It is like glamping with all the fun and less of the rugged hardship. The river is easily accessible. Air conditioning in every site. Campfire and s'mores in the evening. You can drive to each site but should park in the parking lot after offloading your luggage and equipment. The onsite swimming pool is a favorite of small children. The adults have a selection of ice cold beer to enjoy. Free wifi throughout the premises. There are board games for children as well. Breakfast buffet (indoor/outdoor) and a off-the-menu dinner selection (outdoor) with live music. There are two restroom facilities, one attached to the cafe and one near the outdoor movie area.
This hotel is incredibly kids-friendly. In the evenings, they offer outdoor movie screenings of animated films and marshmallow roasting, which the kids absolutely loved. The restaurant has fun activities like ring toss and kid-friendly dart games, along with free popcorn—a great touch! The hotel also provides free life jackets for kayaking, which is very convenient and thoughtful. The only downside was that on our first day, the pool wasn’t very clean, and some of the kayaks were also not in the best condition. Additionally, there was a smoky smell in the evening, which made us wonder if there was a forest fire nearby.
The campster is one of the loveliest places we’ve stayed. The tent was awesome! With aircon and a really comfy bed. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The location is out of the way but that’s what we wanted, and there is plenty do to for a few days. The cleanliness was superb. We didn’t want to leave! It was a great experience that we’d love to do again. Highly recommend.
