Riva Vista Riverfront Chiang Rai
Riva Vista Riverfront sits along the banks of the Kok River in Chiang Rai, offering guests a quiet resort experience within easy reach of the city's key landmarks. The Blue Temple is a five-minute walk away, while the night markets and cultural sites of central Chiang Rai remain comfortably accessible. The riverside setting gives the property a calm, unhurried atmosphere that sets it apart from more centrally situated hotels. Rooms are spacious and modern, with several featuring private pool access or direct river views. The resort has two swimming pools and an on-site restaurant, giving guests plenty of reason to linger between sightseeing. Visitor accounts consistently highlight the quality of the rooms relative to the price, the attentive service, and the appeal of waking up to Kok River views — making it a popular choice for travellers who want comfort without sacrificing proximity to Chiang Rai's highlights. Good to know: Chiang Rai's cool season runs from November to February, when temperatures are mild and ideal for exploring the surrounding temples, hill tribe villages, and the nearby Golden Triangle. This period also tends to be busier, so booking in advance is recommended. Rates and room availability can be confirmed directly at rivavistachiangrai.com.

Visitor Reviews
My husband and I stayed here after leaving another hotel due to a bad experience and we are so glad we changed hotels! This place is right along the river and has two pools and a fantastic restaurant! The pools were around 22 degrees when we were there in February so not too cold. The bed was very comfortable and actually had bounce to it! If you’ve ever gotten a bad hotel in Thailand you know the beds are like box springs, but this one was awesome! The room was clean and comes with its own swimming pool (very large bath tub). The walk in shower was perfect and best water pressure we’ve seen. Check in was lovely and the staff gave us tea and took our bags to the room. We did eat at the restaurant both for breakfast which had a great spread! And we had dinner there one night which was delicious :) I recommend the Mian Kam, sausage stuffed chicken wings, pork neck with noodles, and the pork rib khao soi. The last was particularly delicious as they put cinnamon in the sauce :) The staff was incredibly kind, friendly and helpful! Would recommend this hotel to friends and if I’m in Chiang Rai again, would stay here! Enjoy!
**Riva Vista Riverfront Resort Chiang Rai** A peaceful riverside retreat with stunning views of the Kok River. Rooms are spacious, modern, and beautifully designed—some feature private pool access or bathtubs on the balcony overlooking the river. The breakfast is excellent with a mix of Thai and Western options; don’t miss the noodle soup! Facilities include two swimming pools (one for kids), a fitness center, spa, and lush gardens, making it perfect for couples or families seeking relaxation. Staff are friendly and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The location is ideal—just a short walk to the Blue Temple and a quick drive to Chiang Rai Night Bazaar. Easy access to local attractions while enjoying a serene environment away from the city buzz. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a tranquil riverside experience. --- Would you like me to **make this review more engaging with emojis and a casual tone**, or keep it **professional and polished** for Google Maps?
A truly fabulous retreat in Chiang Rai, steps from the stunning Blue Temple — literally a 5-minute walk. Rooms are well-appointed and comfortable, with a gorgeous river view that made the stay. The restaurant delivers an excellent complimentary breakfast, and lunch was equally impressive. Strong wine list too. When the staff learned it was my birthday, they surprised me with a cake — a genuinely thoughtful touch that caught me off guard. Special mention to front desk staff Minnie and manager M., whose hospitality was exceptional throughout. We’re already planning a return visit this winter. Highly recommend for anyone heading north.
Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts
Book Shoulder Season
May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
