(Nalinthara) Thai Massage & Relaxation
This is the sort of massage place you make a small journey for, rather than the one you stumble into after dinner. It sits by the river in Rim Kok, a little way out of central Chiang Rai, with gardens and birdsong doing half the work before anyone touches your shoulders. Tea comes before and after. Reviewers who've been more than once talk about the same thing each time: skilled hands, proper pressure, staff who notice the details.
On price, opinions split. Some say it costs a bit more than the street-side shops in town, others reckon it's much the same. Either way, nobody argues with what you get for it. Traditional Thai massage is the obvious booking, though a Vietnamese head spa treatment comes up in reviews too. If all you want is a quick 200-baht foot rub between errands, stay in the centre. This is for when you've set aside an afternoon.

Reviews from Google
This place is an absolute dream! The prices are just as affordable as the street stalls, but the experience is on a whole different level. The moment you walk in, you’re wrapped in a blanket of calm and serenity. The massage itself is pure bliss—expert hands, perfect pressure, and a deep sense of relaxation. What makes it even more special is the peaceful atmosphere: you can hear the sounds of nature and birds singing in the background, making you feel like you’re in a paradise. I totally recommend this place.
Highly recommended. Slightly more expensive than other places, but the standard is far superior. It's worth the extra Baht! My boyfriend and I went twice during our stay: once for a Thai massage and once for a Vietnamese head spa treatment. Both were very pleasant, and the staff were very professional and kind.
Definitely a must go if you're looking for the best spa treatment. Absolutely loved the way the place has been done up. The masseuse was top notch as well. She worked on all my kinks. Left feeling refreshed. Not too pricey too.

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
