Visitor Reviews
A lovely hotel in Chiang Rai for 3 nights. This was the best hotel for price/ luxury we stayed in Thailand on our month trip. Staff was super friendly. Rooms are very spacious and clean, with a very comfy bed. Only thing we noticed was the slow shower drainage. The location is slightly out of town, 15 minute walk along busy roads to get to the centre. Id still choose this hotel location if I returned as I wouldn’t want to be in the busy city. We hired a scooter & there was undercover parking at the hotel. Handy location for the bus station & the airport which we used both. Breakfast was really good- I am Gluten free & had wrote this on the booking notes. On the first day I was met with ‘we have no bread’ this wasn’t an issue to me as we are in Thailand and it’s very difficult to come by- I never mentioned it again but at breakfast the next day but the waitress came over with the most amazing gluten free bread, which was so appreciated & I had this again on day 3! Lovely roof top pool for any spare time. Would totally recommend this hotel 🙂
Excellent 4 night stay at Hotel Selene. We had a pool access room on the 7th floor which was very spacious and had an absolutely huge bed! Shower took a while to run hot but once it did the temperature was constant. Air con was very cold as was the pool water! Way too cold for me. Beautiful views over Chiang Rai from the pool area. Hotel is in a quiet residential area away from traffic noise. Staff were very friendly and helpful and couldn’t be faulted, the breakfast was plentiful with omelettes cooked to order, a selection of Asian food and the usual breakfast items. Yes you have to cross a very large road to get into town but the traffic was never that busy and crossing was easy, once across it was a 10 min walk into town for the night markets and restaurants. A comfortable new hotel which I would happily stay at again, highly recommended.
Had the most perfect stay in Hotel Selene Chiang Rai! Staff service were extremely attentive and service was excellent. Check-in/out was swift & easy. Location is about 10minutes walk from city centre, quiet from the hustle & bustle but still in a prime location. We got the superior twin room, it was very spacious & cosy. Beds were super comfy, shower pressure and temperature hits the spot. Gotta give a shoutout for the bidet too! There’s also a swimming pool at the rooftop which offers a nice view of the city. Breakfast was provided, was a decent spread of western and Thai menu on rotation each day. We even got a souvenir during checkout as it was Christmas - how nice of them! Hotel Selene Chiang Rai will definitely be my first choice if I’m coming back to Chiang Rai again. Kudos to the staff for the pleasant stay!
