Ruan Rong Rong Resort & Spa
Situated in the residential Bang Rak Noi area of Nonthaburi, this resort and spa offers a distinctly different Bangkok experience — think birdsong in the mornings, lush orchard-like surroundings, and a slower pace that stands in contrast to the city's usual intensity. It appeals to travellers seeking privacy and a genuine local atmosphere rather than a polished tourist-district stay, with on-site spa services adding a wellness element to the visit. Guests can expect a quiet, garden-style setting with food on-site that leans toward authentic Thai flavours — notably spicy by some accounts. The resort suits those who value atmosphere and tranquillity over modern conveniences, though prospective guests should be aware that room amenities are basic: wifi availability and electrical outlets in rooms have been flagged as limited, and room quality has received mixed feedback. Nearby temples Wat Suan Keaw and Wat Borom Anuchai are worth including in any itinerary. Good to know: This property works best for travellers who are comfortable with a more rustic, off-the-beaten-path stay rather than a standard hotel experience. Mosquitoes are present, so pack repellent. Nonthaburi sits north of Bangkok's main tourist zones, so taxis or the Grab app are recommended for getting around. Before booking, confirm current room availability, wifi access, and hot water availability directly with the property, as experiences have varied among guests.

Visitor Reviews
Great value. Quiet area. Wonderful breakfast. Visit the nearby amazing temples Wat Suan Keaw and Wat Borom Anuchai. You may not be used to hear birds in the morning instead of cars. Taxis can be called at front desk. Location difficult for taxis so use a gps. Wifi does not reach the higher end rooms but recommend buying a 500THB 4g plan to use countrywide.
local getaway in nonthaburi. you'll get a feeling of staying in a thai orchard. food is good but a bit spicy even for my thai standard. would be nice if there's a table in the room. beware of mosquitoes as there're so many ponds.
Amazing place and management. I would have limed a hot shower, otherwise this place is perfect, rather idyllic ❤️
Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts
Book Shoulder Season
May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
