Samae Beach
Forty baht gets you across from Pattaya to Koh Larn, and Samae is the beach worth aiming for once you land. It's a long stretch of white sand with genuinely clear water, quieter than the beaches nearest the main ferry pier, and lined end to end with restaurants and drinks stalls at prices that won't sting. Reviewers rate the food. One recommends a place called Madam Oh.
Two things lift it above a standard sunbathing stop. There's a concrete walkway climbing the hill at one end, and the view back over the whole beach from up there is the reason to do it in the first hour after you arrive, before the heat sets in. There's also a rundown pavilion and an old abandoned renewable energy structure near the viewpoint, which some find atmospheric and others just find scruffy. A jetty sits at the far end.
Beach chairs are everywhere, and the honest caveat is that stall holders vary in how they treat customers. At least one traveller felt clearly brushed off. If a stall won't play, walk on to the next.

Samae beach is a beautiful white sand beach with crystal clear water and a run down pavilion and a concrete walkway up to the top of the hill which provides a brilliant view of the whole of Samae beach.Theres a jetty for boats at the other end of the beach. Lots of restaurants selling drinks and quieter than the main ferry beaches.
Linda's honest travel review! Samae Beach on Koh Larn Island is a nice getaway for only 40 bath p/p from Pattaya to the Island on the main ferry boat. Once you arrive, you can rent a scooter or simply take a Tuk Tuk to the different beaches which is also around 40 bath. The island is well visited with crowded beaches and traffic consisting of many scooters. Tamae Beach is the biggest. A long stretch with many restaurants and concession stands. Over the years they added countless beach chairs and umbrellas which is 100 bath a chair. Unless you will walk to the far end of Tamae beach I would rather not stay there. In the afternoons you will be surrounded by 1000+ people, mostly Indians. Samae Beach is on the West side. A smaller stretch of beach and not as busy. Mostly Russians and travel groups. At the end of the beach with the abandoned stingray shape building, there's stairs up to a viewing point. Not many people will climb up. That makes it even more of a beautiful hangout with a gorgeous view.
Itnis really nicw beach....too good...but try to get bed for 100 baut...guy seating their was not ready to give....he told me go back or seat backside..where as there was no one their..to seat and entire bed area was empty.....such kind of discrimination...why we indian have to bear where we are now on the top of world...in the era of modi ji....we are world fastest growing economy anytime better then entire world...why this kind of behavior...towards indian...and soft corner to white sceen people.... This should be entierly stop... all over the world..i have been to.many country but still i see this kind of behavior.....ecery where in the world ...this should bw stop at once....we indian should take step for the same ...raise voice.....we are the one who are spending in the entire world like anything.. u pick up any tourist place in the world alll over it is Indians who are spending more more....we all should get united and take step for the same....raise your voice guys..
