Thai cooking studio Phuket

5.0(107 reviews)

Located in Patong, Thai Cooking Studio Phuket offers interactive cooking classes guided by Chef Care, an instructor consistently praised by visitors for her warmth, energy, and deep knowledge of Thai cuisine. Classes begin with a visit to a local fresh market, where participants learn to identify and select authentic local ingredients before heading back to the kitchen to prepare and cook traditional Thai dishes from scratch. The studio keeps groups small — up to four people — ensuring personalised attention throughout the session.

The experience is designed to be both educational and enjoyable, covering ingredient selection, technique, and flavour balancing in a clean, welcoming kitchen environment. Visitors learn dishes they can realistically recreate at home, making the class a practical takeaway as well as a cultural one. The market component adds a genuine local dimension that sets it apart from more studio-only cooking experiences.

Absolutely Recommended – A Highlight of Our Trip! Our experience at Care’s cooking class was a true highlight of our time in Thailand. It started with a wonderful visit to the local market, where Care took her time to show us many different ingredients, explain their use in Thai cuisine, and even let us taste some of them. This introduction was not only informative, but also a warm and welcoming way to start the day. Back at her clean and spacious cooking studio, Care continued to impress us with her knowledge, patience, and passion for teaching. She remained fully engaged throughout, always open to questions and explanations. We cooked four delicious dishes, each one introduced step-by-step with clear demonstrations. Care explained the ingredients, spices, and preparation methods in detail, and then carefully supported us while we cooked ourselves. Her attentiveness made us feel confident and relaxed. This class is a must for anyone visiting Thailand who wants to learn more about Thai food and culture. It’s especially valuable for first-time visitors, as Care shares so much helpful context that makes the whole country and its cuisine more approachable and understandable. Highly recommended!

I have been taking Cares' cooking class this Friday, and i have to say this exceeded my expectations! She took us to the fresh market to get all the local ingredients and explained how they worked. Then we started cooking 4 delicious meal of my choice. I went with Pad Kra Pao, Red Curry, Pad Thai and of course Mango sticky rice. The meals were fantastic and looked super tasty. Thank you very much for your guidance i will definetly cook these at home again!!

Absolute must! A beautiful traditional cultural experience from the Fresh Food Market, preparing, cooking and eating the food was a delight. Chef Care and her assistant made the experience memorable and has given us the knowledge to prepare a Thai feast for our family and friends 🪷

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours

Vet Elephant Sanctuaries

Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.

Book Popular Activities Online

Booking platforms like GetYourGuide give you instant confirmation and, on many activities, free cancellation — and you can read recent reviews before committing. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.

Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning

Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
