Football is the reason most people end up in Buriram, and this is where it happens. Home of Buriram United, one of Thailand's most successful clubs, and a serious piece of modern stadium building in a province that nobody expected to produce one. Turn up on a non-match day and you can walk the grounds, look in at the club shop and get a sense of the scale. It's worth an hour. But it's a stadium, and stadiums need people in them.

My advice is to plan around the fixture list instead. The local support here is loud and properly invested, and a home game is the sort of thing that reframes what you thought Isan was about. Fixtures and tickets are on the club's own site, and the bigger games sell hard, so sort it early rather than turning up hopeful.

Pair it with Chang International Circuit if you're making the trip out this way. The two sit together as Buriram's whole sports-tourism pitch, and doing one without the other feels like a wasted journey.
