La Cucina

4.6(112 reviews)$$$$

La Cucina is the Italian dining concept at Andaz Pattaya Jomtien Beach, a resort-based restaurant that earned recognition in the Michelin Guide 2025. Helmed by a dedicated chef, the kitchen focuses on southern Italian cuisine, with pasta prepared al dente and dishes that reflect a commitment to classical technique and quality ingredients. The setting sits within the lush grounds of the Andaz property, offering a refined yet welcoming atmosphere that suits both leisurely lunches and evening dining.

Visitors can expect attentive, personalised service — reviewers have specifically praised individual staff members by name, which speaks to the standard of hospitality on offer. The restaurant is one of three dining concepts within the hotel, alongside Thai and steakhouse options, making it a strong choice for guests staying on-site as well as diners visiting from elsewhere in Pattaya. Those accustomed to bold flavours should note that the cooking leans toward authentic Italian profiles rather than locally adapted seasoning.

Pricing reflects the hotel setting and Michelin recognition, so La Cucina sits at the premium end of the Pattaya dining spectrum. The restaurant opens daily from 11:30 to 22:00, covering both lunch and dinner service. Reservations are recommended, and booking through the Andaz Pattaya Jomtien Beach dining page is the most straightforward option. Smart-casual attire is appropriate given the resort environment.

Nestled within the lush grounds of Andaz Pattaya Jomtien Beach, La Cucina brings the warmth and richness of southern Italian cuisine to life with a refined yet welcoming ambiance. Helmed by Chef Vincenzo Gatti, this Michelin Selected 2025 restaurant pays homage to the culinary heritage of Naples with passion, authenticity, and flair. Our meal began with a vibrant salad, delicately balanced with fresh greens, juicy cherry tomatoes, and a light vinaigrette that awakened the palate without overpowering the natural flavors. The star of the evening was the Parma ham pizza — a masterpiece of simplicity. The crust was perfectly blistered, crisp on the edges and tender at the center, topped with velvety slices of Parma ham, creamy mozzarella, and it goes well with chilli oil. Each bite transported us to the streets of Naples. For the main, we shared a beautifully cooked beef steak, served medium well as requested. It was seared to perfection, juicy and flavorful, with a subtle char that hinted at fired technique. The accompanying roasted potatoes added depth and balance, rounding out a deeply satisfying course. The red wine sauce was amazing. The service was warm and attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere added a lively energy to the dining experience. Whether seated indoors in the cozy style room or outdoors with a scenery of home grown vegetables that used for every dish, the setting complements the soulfulness of the cuisine. La Cucina isn’t just a hotel restaurant — it’s a destination in its own right. Chef Gatti’s commitment to southern Italian flavors and his respect for tradition make this one of the standout dining experiences in Pattaya. For lovers of Italian cuisine, La Cucina is an essential visit.

The food and service was impeccable, especially received great service from Guy and Ning. Definitely recommend dining at this restaurant when staying at Andaz Pattaya.

Tried this restaurant after hearing it earned a Michelin 2025 award – the pasta was perfectly al dente, though as a Thai I would prefer slightly bolder flavors. Prices are high as expected for a hotel, but the service was excellent. Special thanks to Sud for being so friendly and attentive, always recommending dishes. Nice wine promotion (though limited selection). Atmosphere is casual not so Romantic for couple ; the garden seats are lovely if you don’t mind the heat.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food

Learn the Spice Scale

Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.

Follow the Crowds

The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.

Ice Is Safe

Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
