2 Fishes
Tucked into the Bo Put area of Koh Samui, 2 Fishes has earned a devoted following among both long-term visitors and first-timers for its combination of stunning surroundings and consistently excellent cooking. While the name suggests a purely seafood focus, the menu draws on broader European and coastal influences — dishes like risotto-stuffed octopus, Frutti di Mare pasta, and fresh oysters sit alongside more unexpected offerings such as white asparagus, making it a genuinely versatile destination for a special meal. The setting is widely praised as one of the most beautiful on the island, and the atmosphere strikes a balance between relaxed and refined — the kind of place that feels appropriate for a Valentine's dinner or a long lunch with friends visiting from out of town. Service receives consistent praise, with staff noted for being attentive and personable. The restaurant pairs well with a good bottle of wine, and the kitchen handles both seafood and meat preparations with care. Given its popularity, 2 Fishes can get notably busy during peak season, so booking ahead is strongly recommended, particularly for evening sittings or holiday periods. No website or listed hours are available online, so it is worth contacting the restaurant directly or asking at your accommodation to confirm current opening times before making the trip.

Visitor Reviews
My wife and I chose this restaurant for our Valentines date night. We were so impressed by the quality of the food & service! We met one of the staff members named Claudio who was absolutely incredible! Claudio was so friendly and gave us the perfect recommendations for our food choices. He even spent time talking to us about the city and fun things to do. We adored him and all the staff members who made us feel so welcomed! Definitely would recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for a fine dining experience. 5 stars!!
Went to 2 Fishes on the 11th January 2026 and again on the 24th January 2026.. This place is absolutely amazing. The food was delicious, we paired it with a bottle of Australian Penfolds Shiraz to remind us of home. The desserts were amazing too.. The ambience was 100% and the 2 Gentlemen owners were extremely kind and helpful. Highly recommend anyone going to Koh Samui to check this place out. It's so popular that bookings are recommended. Thank you again 2 Fishes for the amazing food and memories..
Fantastic restaurant, staying at a luxury resort and this is way better than resort restaurant. Risotto stuffed octopus, pork cannellini, and Frutti di Mare pasta were all fantastic. Upgraded caipriski to kettle one and was excellent. Super cool chill vibe and owner is very nice and knowledgeable. Staff is excellent. Highly recommend.
Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
