Halo Rooftop Bar
Perched atop the GLOW MIRA complex on Patak Road in Karon, this rooftop bar delivers a genuinely elevated evening experience — both literally and in terms of atmosphere. The views stretch across the surrounding area and hold up well into the night, making it a draw for sunset drinks and late-evening socializing alike. The venue strikes a balance between relaxed and vibrant, offering a more refined alternative to the busier nightlife strips nearby.
The food and drink menu earns consistent praise from visitors. Cocktails — particularly mojitos and vodka-based drinks — are a highlight, and the kitchen turns out solid bar food including fish and chips and nachos. The staff, including the general manager, are frequently noted for being both friendly and attentive, which contributes to the overall atmosphere. It suits couples, groups, and solo travelers equally well and works just as naturally for a quiet drink as it does for a longer evening out.
Karon sits comfortably between the intensity of Patong and the quieter southern beaches, making Halo a practical choice for travelers based anywhere along Phuket's central west coast. Arriving around sunset is the most popular approach and makes the most of the rooftop setting before the evening crowd builds. During peak season, checking ahead or arriving early is a sensible move to secure a good spot.

I had an amazing time at Halo Rooftop Bar! The food, drinks, and overall vibe were absolutely perfect for a relaxing evening. We ordered the fish and chips and nachos, and both dishes were delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The fish was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, while the nachos were loaded with toppings and perfect for sharing. Their happy hour (5:00 PM to 7:00 PM) is a must-try! They have a buy 1 get 1 free promo on cocktails, and we enjoyed the Bahama Mama and Long Island Iced Tea — both expertly mixed and refreshing. They also offer a great variety of mojitos, perfect for anyone who loves a good cocktail with a twist. The staff were very professional and friendly, always making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Special thanks to Manager Mr. Jojo, who was incredibly accommodating and made us feel truly welcome. The ambiance at Halo Rooftop Bar is wonderful — great views, cozy atmosphere, and perfect for either a chill night out or a fun evening with friends. Highly recommended! I’ll definitely be coming back soon. 🍹✨

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
