Jesada bar (เจษฎา บาร์)
Jesada Bar is a riverside venue in Kanchanaburi that blends casual dining, live music, and open-air relaxation into one easy-going spot. Situated close to the river, the setting leans into its natural surroundings, making it a popular choice for those looking to unwind after a day of sightseeing in the region. The sound of live singing drifts through the air most evenings, giving the place an inviting, communal energy that draws in even passing visitors. The menu earns consistent praise from visitors, with food described as genuinely delicious rather than an afterthought to the drinks. The atmosphere is relaxed enough for families and groups of all ages, and the facilities — including clean bathrooms — are well maintained. Whether guests are settling in for a full meal or simply stopping for a drink and some music, the friendly staff contribute to a welcoming experience. Jesada Bar suits a wide range of visitors, from travellers camping nearby to families seeking a comfortable evening out. Given the outdoor riverside setting, lightweight and breathable clothing is a practical choice, particularly during warmer months. As opening hours are not listed, it is worth checking locally or arriving in the early evening when the atmosphere tends to be at its liveliest.

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
