THE SKY HUA HIN
Perched high above Hua Hin on Phet Kasem Road, The Sky Hua Hin is a rooftop bar and restaurant that draws visitors for its panoramic views over the town, particularly at sunset. The elevated setting sets it apart from the beach bars closer to the waterfront, offering a more polished atmosphere with dimmed lighting and a relaxed yet refined vibe. The menu covers both food and drinks, with visitors enjoying everything from pizzas and appetizers to cocktails and wine, making it a viable choice for a full evening out rather than drinks alone. The venue is well suited to celebrations, with a number of visitors choosing it for birthdays and special occasions. The combination of views, attentive staff, and the option to pre-arrange celebration packages gives it appeal beyond a standard night out. That said, some reviewers have noted operational quirks, including lift queues at peak times when the adjacent water park closes for the evening. The Sky opens at 5 PM every day of the week and closes at midnight, making it accessible throughout the week rather than just on weekends. Smart casual dress is appropriate given the upscale setting. Visitors planning to arrive around sunset should be aware that early evening can see higher foot traffic, particularly when nearby attractions close simultaneously. Making a reservation in advance, especially for groups or special occasions, is advisable. The venue's website at theskyhuahin.com carries current event and booking information.

Visitor Reviews
THE SKY Sweet Celebrations High Tea, Cake, and Sky Views in Hua Hin We stayed four nights at Holiday Inn Hua Hin to celebrate Christmas and our younger child’s birthday as a family. We spotted THE SKY was hosting an afternoon tea/dessert buffet on the December 27, so we seized the chance to give it a try. Being told this is the first time they host high tea dessert buffet. The presentation was amazing stunning, with an irresistible array of sweets, a chocolate fountain, ice cream, and a few savory snacks at the sky bar restaurant with fantastic views. The drink service was already excellent, but adding an ice Thai tea to the menu would make it even more authentically Thai and elevate the experience for travelers like us. A gentle suggestion that expanding the savory selection with few more vegetarian friendly items (for we only spotted spinach cheese quiche) would create a more balanced and complete buffet. That day also was our baby’s second birthday, and the team surprised us with a heartfelt celebration singing “Happy Birthday” while presenting a superb cute, chef-designed snowman cake. Our little one was overjoyed, beaming with full smiles as she basked in the warmth of being surrounded by a crowd of kind, cheerful people marking her such special moment. ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you THE SKY team ❤️❤️❤️
We visited the restaurant as a group of guys and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The appetizers were fantastic, the main courses were delicious, and we also really enjoyed the wine tasting and the drinks. Everything was simply excellent. At the end of the evening, the chef personally came to apologize because some of the dishes were slightly delayed — which was absolutely no problem for us. We truly appreciated the gesture.
The Sky Restaurant was an awesome birthday celebration. The ambience was nice and relaxing. The staff was attentive and helpful and the food was good as we had a simple pizza. The views were the best experience and the cocktails are excellent.

Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
