MALO Café & Bar
Tucked inside The Perihotel on Phet Kasem Road in central Hua Hin, MALO Café & Bar earns its reputation as a genuine all-day destination. The space strikes a balance between casual café warmth and proper bar service — cosy enough for solo laptop sessions (with power outlets available) and social enough for a relaxed evening of cocktails with friends. Standout staff members are frequently name-checked in visitor feedback, reflecting a team known for being attentive, welcoming, and genuinely fun to interact with. The menu spans the full day, with coffee drinks like matcha lattes drawing praise for their balance and craft, while the bar side delivers fresh, well-made cocktails come evening. Pastries — including a notably flaky almond croissant — round out the daytime offerings. A complimentary in-house photographer has been highlighted by guests as a memorable and unexpected touch, particularly useful for those wanting photos during an evening visit. Good to know: MALO opens at 6:30 AM every day of the week and closes at 11:00 PM, making it one of the more flexible options in Hua Hin for fitting around different schedules. The venue tends to carry a quieter, more intimate atmosphere during the day, which suits those working remotely, while evenings bring a livelier bar crowd. Checking the website or contacting the hotel directly ahead of a visit is worthwhile during peak tourist seasons, particularly around holidays when the space fills up.

Visitor Reviews
During the Christmas season, I had a chance to visit a café in Hua Hin called Malo. It’s a small and cozy place with a warm atmosphere. The drinks were delicious, well-balanced, and clearly made with care. The male barista was very polite and friendly, and he gave great drink recommendations. I asked for a Christmas-themed latte art, and he kindly made one for me—it was absolutely lovely. This thoughtful service made a great first impression and truly made me want to come back again. If you’re visiting Hua Hin, I highly recommend this café. 📍Located opposite Bluport ka. ☕✨
I stumbled upon this little café on Google Maps, and it turned out to be such a gem. Super cozy, with quiet corners perfect for working on a laptop—plugs included. I had a matcha latte with oat milk, and it was so good. On top of that, the barista drew a tiny snowman in the foam, so cute!
The experience at Malo Café and Bar was amazing. The whole team is very welcoming. The barista, Song, was fantastic and super funny. The bartender, Mark, was very kind and attentive. Great food and great drinks. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Hua Hin.

Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
