C Mui Market - Foods&Souvenirs Market
Come for the food stalls and live music, not the clothes rails, and price-check before you commit.

- Hours
- Daily 13:00–23:00
- Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
- Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.

Come here to eat and hang about, not to shop hard. It's a food-and-souvenir complex next to the mall in Bo Put, with seating areas, a bar and live local music most evenings, which makes it the sort of place you settle into for a couple of hours rather than walk through in ten minutes. Couples, families, groups of friends: it works for all of them.
The pad thai gets named again and again in reviews, and that's where I'd start. Pricing is all over the place, though. Some stalls charge fair local rates, others want around 200 baht for something you'd pay half that for in a restaurant down the road, so walk the whole row before you order. Same goes for the clothing and souvenir stalls. At least one shopper found holes in a shirt within days and got nowhere asking for a swap, so inspect anything you buy properly and assume there's no returning it.

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
Claim Your VAT Refund
Spend 2,000+ THB at a single store displaying 'VAT Refund for Tourists' signs, get a yellow form at the register, and claim 7% VAT back at the airport. It adds up fast on bigger purchases.
