Dinosaur Ruam Suk Market
Dinosaur Ruam Suk Market is a genuine local market in Hua Hin that caters primarily to residents, making it a refreshing contrast to the more tourist-oriented shopping options in the area. Open every day from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, it draws a loyal following for its wide selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, and fish, alongside hot prepared foods and everyday goods. Notably, some vendors also sell live fish for home ponds, reflecting the market's practical, community-focused character. Visitors consistently highlight the quality and freshness of the produce here, as well as prices that remain fair regardless of whether you are a local or a foreigner. The atmosphere is unpretentious and welcoming, with friendly vendors and no pressure or price inflation for non-Thai shoppers. Those looking for authentic Thai food free from the excess sugar and additives common in supermarket products will find this market particularly appealing. A practical note worth keeping in mind: the market operates daily, so there is no need to plan around a specific day of the week. Arriving later in the afternoon, closer to 5:00 PM or 6:00 PM, tends to coincide with peak activity when food stalls are fully operating. Bring cash in small denominations, as card payments are unlikely to be accepted at most stalls. Comfortable footwear is recommended for browsing the full range of vendors.

Visitor Reviews
Good local market with a lot of daily fresh produce at a good price. You can go there as a foreigner without getting stared at, people are friendly and polite, and they don't increase the price because you're a foreigner. Quality is always very good and prices are low. Can be a bit muddy when it rains and if you're tall you may have to bend a little, but you get the best deals there and the atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant.
Nice local food market where you can get all kinds of fresh fruits, vegetables, fish, meat. We’re knowing this market since many years and always come back because of the good prices and the quality of the products offered.
Very large local market that sells fresh vegetables, meats, fish, hot foods and live fish for your ponds at home. Cheap prices with the availability to bulk buy. 👍🏽👍🏽

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
