Erachon Raft Resort

4.6(339 reviews)

Situated along the Kwai River in the Si Sawat district of Kanchanaburi, this raft resort offers a distinctive lodging experience that places guests directly on the water, surrounded by forested hills and mountain views. The combination of river, nature, and relative seclusion makes it a popular choice for travellers looking to step away from busier tourist circuits while remaining close to Kanchanaburi's national park.

Guests can choose from raft villas positioned right on the river, where the views and sense of quiet are a notable draw. Rooms are consistently described as spacious and well-maintained, and the resort grounds include a pool area. Kayaks and paddleboards are available for use on the river at no additional charge, making it easy to explore the waterway at a relaxed pace. An on-site restaurant provides dining convenience, though visitors may want to manage expectations around the food offering. Staff are noted for being friendly and helpful throughout the stay.

We stayed at Erawan Raft Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. Our room was spacious and very comfortable — we booked the VIP room, which came with a private hot tub, and it was such a relaxing touch! The saltwater pool was a great bonus, and the whole place had a peaceful atmosphere (no kids during our stay, which made it extra calm). The price was fair for the quality and comfort we got. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway! Make sure you eat at the hotel restaurant, it doesn't look classy but it was the best Thai food I had in the area

Loved everything about this place. We stayed at the villa raft, right in front of the river and a view of mountain. It is so peaceful. The resort is offering kayaking if you want to explore the nature along the river. Nice staffs. For us, it is worth every penny.

Overall the place is beautiful, however I had the weirdest check out of my life. I m travelling with my kid and unfortunately we didn't have time to enjoy the pool during our stay, so I was sure that after check out we got the opportunity to use the pool area to enjoy the pool and the view, but unfortunately the lady at the reception told me that after check out the common areas can't be used. Although I was quite surprised I offered to pay for using those areas for 1 hour which I was also denied in. So I was standing there with my kid who was dressed for swimming and going to the pool and couldnt really see why the situation is like this. So if it's indeed a hotel regulation that guests cannot use common area after checking out (which is so weird, I travelled in so many places and never ever I faced those situation), that should be somehow said in advance for sure, so guests can plan correspondingly. Or better have it written in the room 'Dear guests, you can't use common facilities after your check-out. Thanks for your understanding'. Something like that. And if that is just the lady at the reception who decides it, then it's extremely unfortunate that such situations can happen creating an extremely unpleasant and unexpected situation for guests. The lady helped me with some other issues though, so I am grateful for this, but having this weird check out ruined all the impression. Neither of people in the hotel spoke English which was also quite fine. There were kayak facilities but because none of people spoke English, I couldnt get any info on this or any info about the surrounding area or how to get some river trips. Overall the stay was quite nice although having troubles in communication, but this check out thing made me feel so not comfortable which is extremely not nice especially when you are travelling with your kid.
