Erachon Raft Resort
Situated along the Kwai River in the Si Sawat district of Kanchanaburi, this raft resort offers a distinctive lodging experience that places guests directly on the water, surrounded by forested hills and mountain views. The combination of river, nature, and relative seclusion makes it a popular choice for travellers looking to step away from busier tourist circuits while remaining close to Kanchanaburi's national park. Guests can choose from raft villas positioned right on the river, where the views and sense of quiet are a notable draw. Rooms are consistently described as spacious and well-maintained, and the resort grounds include a pool area. Kayaks and paddleboards are available for use on the river at no additional charge, making it easy to explore the waterway at a relaxed pace. An on-site restaurant provides dining convenience, though visitors may want to manage expectations around the food offering. Staff are noted for being friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Good to know: The resort sits in a rural stretch of Kanchanaburi with limited walkable amenities nearby, so it suits travellers who prefer a self-contained, nature-focused stay rather than easy access to shops or nightlife. The dry season from November to February offers the most comfortable weather for outdoor activities on the river. As no website or direct booking details are currently listed online, it is advisable to contact the resort directly to confirm room availability, current rates, and any specific requirements before making the trip out to Si Sawat.

Visitor Reviews
We stayed at Erawan Raft Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. Our room was spacious and very comfortable — we booked the VIP room, which came with a private hot tub, and it was such a relaxing touch! The saltwater pool was a great bonus, and the whole place had a peaceful atmosphere (no kids during our stay, which made it extra calm). The price was fair for the quality and comfort we got. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway! Make sure you eat at the hotel restaurant, it doesn't look classy but it was the best Thai food I had in the area
Great setting along the Kwai River. Not a lot within walking distance, but you’re close to the national park. Kayaks and paddle boards are available on the river. The rooms are spacious and very clean. In order to get one of the floating rooms, I would suggest you book well in advance. The swimming pools were a perfect temperature and impeccably clean.
Loved everything about this place. We stayed at the villa raft, right in front of the river and a view of mountain. It is so peaceful. The resort is offering kayaking if you want to explore the nature along the river. Nice staffs. For us, it is worth every penny.
Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts
Book Shoulder Season
May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
