Mays Hostel is a small, independently run hostel on Sa Song Road in Hua Hin, operated by a couple named Chris and May who have built a strong reputation for genuine hospitality. The property is notably new, with fresh, well-maintained rooms and bathrooms that guests consistently describe as spotless. The atmosphere leans more toward a welcoming home than a typical hostel, making it a comfortable base for both short stays and longer visits to the Hua Hin area.
Guests can expect clean, comfortable beds, pleasant showers, and a central location that makes it easy to explore the town. What sets Mays Hostel apart is the hands-on involvement of the owners, who go out of their way to assist guests with practical needs — including, according to reviews, personally driving visitors to the train station when time is tight. The hostel suits solo travellers and those who value personal attention over large-scale amenities.

Simply perfect experience in this hostel. Slept 4 nights there, here’s why I loved it : -The accomodations are clean, new, confortable. The showers are really pleasant and clean as well. The hostel is really quiet. Great to rest without disturbance. You can do your laundry for free as well. -The location is perfect, 1 min walk from the night Market with plenty of choice for food night and day. 2 7eleven across the street as well. -The hosts are absolutly Lovely people. They speak perfect english, will help you for anything and make you feel like a friend at home. They give you free water everyday and many other gesture of kindness. There are not many reviews at the moment because the hotel is brand new. Best dorm in hua hin do not hesitate !
I was really worried about missing my train. When Chris and May found out, they immediately took my luggage and drove me to the train station. Everything happened so fast!wow, they are such a great team! Maybe this is one of the reasons they’ve been able to work together for over twenty years as a couple running this hostel. In the end, I caught the train thanks to their kindness. Thank you so much for your help — they are truly lovely people. The place itself is wonderful too. The location is great, and although it’s a small place, it’s very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!
I had an amazing stay at May’s Hostel in Hua Hin! The owners are incredibly kind and place felt homey straightaway. I stayed for one week and honestly didn’t want to leave. The hostel is super clean, comfortable, and well taken care of. The location is perfect: right next to the night food markets and just a short walk to the beach. Everything you need is close by. I truly have nothing to complain about and I’m so happy I chose to stay here. I will definitely come back someday!
