Indian Masala Restaurant: Best Food In HuaHin Night Market
Tucked into Soi Dechanuchit in the heart of Hua Hin's night market district, this North Indian restaurant specialises in masala-based curries and traditional subcontinental cooking, offering a genuine alternative to the Thai and Chinese fare that dominates the surrounding area. The kitchen draws on authentic recipes and spices, with dishes including well-regarded naan bread, and the menu appeals particularly to travellers craving bold, familiar Indian flavours during an extended stay on the coast. The atmosphere reflects its night market setting — casual, unpretentious, and lively in the evenings. Visitor reviews consistently praise the warmth and attentiveness of the staff, describing a welcoming experience from arrival to the end of the meal. That said, some guests note that quality can be uneven, and a minority of reviewers accustomed to Indian food from countries with large South Asian communities have found the dishes milder or less complex than expected. It is worth keeping those expectations in check. For practical planning, the restaurant opens at 12:30pm and runs until midnight every day of the week, making it one of the more reliable dining options in Hua Hin regardless of your schedule. Walk-ins appear to be the norm given the night market format, so no reservation is needed. Arriving in the early afternoon offers a quieter meal, while evenings bring more atmosphere alongside the surrounding market activity. Casual dress is entirely appropriate.

Visitor Reviews
Indian Masala exceeded every expectation! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming—they made us feel truly cared for throughout the entire meal. The menu is fantastic, with an impressive variety of dishes to choose from, each bursting with authentic flavors and beautiful aromas. Every single dish we tried was absolutely delicious, rich, and perfectly cooked, so much so that we couldn’t resist ordering a wide selection just to experience more. Thankfully, the team kindly packed everything for takeaway so we could continue enjoying it later. Indian Masala is the perfect place if you want outstanding Indian cuisine, wonderful service, and a truly memorable dining experience. Highly recommended!
A very good place in Hua Hin to enjoy northern Indian food. All the dishes met our expectations. The service was friendly and welcoming from beginning to end. A rather new restaurant, therefore they can only accept cash payments. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for good Indian food in town.
Great service, amazingly tasty food, great naan. It was a quiet night so no issues with atmosphere, it was just quiet. Staff went out of their way to make dinner a really enjoyable experience. If your after a brilliant curry in Hua Hin then you can’t go past Indian Masala

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
