Timing is the whole game here. This little beach on Koh Hey, reached by boat from Rawai on Phuket's southern tip, is genuinely lovely early on, with clear turquoise water, clean sand, a snorkeling spot worth getting wet for. Then the speedboats arrive for their lunch stop and the place fills up fast. Reviewers who got there first talk about it fondly. Reviewers who got there at midday talk about crowds and noise. Same beach, different day out.
The bar is more than an afterthought. People rate the cocktails and mocktails, and the food gets a mention as often as the swimming does, papaya salad included. Loungers cost around 300 baht, so decide before you sit down whether you want to pay for the comfort. Water sports run off the beach too, parasailing and banana boats among them. Treat it as a half-day, not a full one.

One of favs too, you can do some activities like parasailing, banana boat etc. Very very nice before the arrival of tons of tourists hehe. I got to enjoy it and left before the beach get crowded. The cafe bar will charge 300 baht for the seat, so make sure you are ok with that. The papaya salad was good. Love the drinks also.
Super beautiful beach with amazing cocktails and mocktails. It has all sort of water sports and a beautiful snorkeling point. BE aware of the sea urchins. The food there is awesome ! Must visit!!
Can be a relaxing and always beautiful beach. Seems to get crowded with only tourists. Especially the boats of mostly Chinese visitors. I would say 70% of the visitors were Chinese. They were very loud talkers and took so many selfies on the beach. Kinda took away from the natural environment and quiet a little. Don't expect peace and quiet here. Yet Worth a visit.
