Why go, and how to do it well
This Banana Beach is on Koh Hey, also called Coral Island, a small island off Phuket's south coast, and it runs as a day-trip beach club. Phuket's other Banana Beach is a free public cove on the northwest coast that you walk down to from the road. This one you reach by speedboat from Chalong Pier, about 15 minutes each way.
Most visitors come on the beach's own packages, which include the boat and hotel transfers. On its website the Everyday package is ฿1,900 for adults and ฿1,400 for children, with the round-trip speedboat, a sea kayak, a buffet lunch and a beach chair. The Snorkeling package is ฿2,500 and ฿2,000 and adds gear and a clear kayak, Premium is ฿3,200 and ฿2,700 with water sports and a better lunch, and a version with an 11-platform zipline is ฿3,300 a person.
Expect an organized day. Music plays, there's a restaurant on the sand, premium sunbeds rent for shade and space, and staff keep things moving. The water is clear and there's reef close enough to snorkel from the shore. I'd pick it for a sorted day with everything included, and the mainland cove for something wilder. Christmas and New Year are the busiest weeks, so go early in the day then.

Very beautiful and very nice beach. They called it banana beach because of its shape like banana. You can enjoy there the swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and walking on the white sand beaches. The company is well organized and well arranged for everything. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They care about customers and their most important is the safety and quality. I really enjoyed the trip with my family. Highly recommended for whom are looking for relaxation and some beach and sea activities.
Amazing place to spend a day! MJ at the Banana Beach was fantastic, super welcoming and helpful. We rented the premium sunbeds and it was incredible. I surely recomend a visit, MJ will surely take care of you!
