Pattaya Thai Cooking

5.0(114 reviews)

Led by instructor Thip, this cooking class offers visitors a personal, hands-on introduction to Thai cuisine in a relaxed, welcoming setting. Classes cover a rotating selection of classic dishes — including Pad Thai, Tom Kha Gai, Green Curry, Pad See Ew, and Pad Krapau — with Thip guiding participants through the preparation and cooking of each dish from start to finish. Her clear explanations and strong English make the experience accessible to complete beginners, while the small-group format ensures everyone gets plenty of attention.

Participants cook and eat their own creations during the session, leaving not just with a satisfying meal but with practical skills and recipes they can recreate at home. The atmosphere is friendly and informal, making it a popular choice for couples, friends, and solo travellers looking for something more engaging than a standard sightseeing activity.

Classes run daily from 13:00 to 16:00, making it an easy afternoon activity to slot into a Pattaya itinerary. Booking in advance through the official website is recommended, as the intimate class size means spots fill quickly. The address places the school within the Muang Pattaya area of Chon Buri province, and the website provides full details on current dish options and how to reserve a place.

We had an amazing experience at Pattaya Thai Cooking! My girlfriend and I cooked chicken with cashew nuts, Tom Kha Gai, and Pad See Ew with chicken — everything was absolutely delicious and felt truly authentic. Our teacher Thip was wonderful: incredibly kind, patient, and passionate. She explained everything clearly, shared great tips about Thai ingredients, and made the whole class fun and relaxed. Even as beginners, we felt confident and really enjoyed every step of the process. Highly recommended for couples or anyone who wants a hands-on, authentic Thai cooking experience. One of the highlights of our time here — thank you, Thip! 🙏🇹🇭🍜🍛

I joined the cooking class and absolutely loved it! We cooked Pad Thai, Pad Krapau, and Green Curry — everything turned out delicious. The instructor was really handsome and explained everything perfectly, down to the fundamentals of the ingredients. The kitchen setup was well equipped. I learned a lot and had such a great time. Highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Pattaya!

I had the best experience at Pattaya Thai Cooking. Thip is an excellent instructor, very knowledgeable and speaks English well. After the class, I felt I had the confidence to make Thai dishes as well as what you would buy in the local markets. Highly recommended

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours

Vet Elephant Sanctuaries

Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.

Book Popular Activities Online

Booking platforms like GetYourGuide give you instant confirmation and, on many activities, free cancellation — and you can read recent reviews before committing. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.

Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning

Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
