Visitor Reviews
Sunset Viewpoint in Krabi is one of those magical spots that captures the true tropical beauty of southern Thailand. Perched on a hill overlooking the Andaman Sea, it offers a breathtaking panoramic view of limestone cliffs, palm-covered islands, and the glimmering coastline stretching far into the distance. As the sun begins to set, the entire horizon glows in shades of orange, pink, and gold, creating a picture-perfect moment that feels almost surreal. The viewpoint itself is easily accessible by scooter or car, with a short walk up to the top. Along the way, you’ll pass local stalls selling coconuts and fruit smoothies — the perfect refreshment while waiting for the evening light show. It’s a peaceful place, usually much less crowded than the beaches below, so you can really enjoy the quiet atmosphere. Bring a camera or drone if you have one, because the views from here are among the best in Krabi. What makes Sunset Viewpoint special is not just the scenery but the feeling — the warm ocean breeze, the sound of birds returning to the forest, and the calm that sets in as the sun dips below the horizon. It’s an ideal place to relax after a long day of exploring Ao Nang, Railay, or the nearby islands. A must-visit for anyone chasing unforgettable sunsets in Krabi.
It’s a hidden gem of Thailand! 10 min drive from the main road absolutely worth it! The view is stunning, looks like Pandora on Earth. They have 10 dishes options and lots of drinks. I came there twice for sunset and for lunch, so I can confirm that they have amazing fried rice and coconuts for reasonable price 50 B. The waiter is friendly and nice. But the view and 2 swings make this place special! Go there and you will not regret.
Truly incredible view, absolutely worth the drive to the cafe. We didn't eat so can't comment on food, but the beer is present :) People working there were nothing but pleasant and fun. P.S. not sure why it comes up only as a viewpoint, it's a trendy restaurant that happens to be in an amazing place.
Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
