Naphat Tour Pig Island Koh Mat Sum and Snorkeling

3.9(191 reviews)

Naphat Tour offers guided day trips from Koh Samui to Pig Island (Koh Mat Sum), combining wildlife viewing with snorkeling at multiple stops across the surrounding archipelago. The tour format involves hotel pickup by car, boat transport to the island, and visits to additional spots such as Rap Island, a small, scenic stop with a beach bar. The main draw is the chance to see the resident pigs on the island while spending a day out on the water in the Gulf of Thailand. Visitors can expect a fairly active outing that includes boat travel, open-water snorkeling, and island exploration. Reviewers note the boat ride can be wet, so waterproof bags and a change of clothes are worth packing. Staff have received positive mentions for being friendly and helpful, though experiences with booking and pricing have varied, with some travellers reporting inconsistencies between quoted and final prices. Tours operate every day of the week from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, offering reasonable flexibility for scheduling. Pricing has been reported at approximately 1,000 to 2,500 THB depending on the group arrangement and boat type. Clarifying all costs, inclusions, and pickup logistics before confirming a booking through the website is strongly advisable. Bringing swimwear, sunscreen, and a waterproof bag is recommended, and checking sea conditions ahead of time helps set realistic expectations for snorkeling visibility.

Visitor Reviews

The staff is amazing. Very kind. You have to visit Rap Island. Small island, very beautiful, clean, with bar. We had awesome trip with them. Thank you and hope we see you again 🙏🙏🙏

We had a great tour visiting pig Island and also rap Island. The staff was very Nice and friendly. Ask for Kookai in Naphat, she is a sweetheart!

Great day out on the water and to see Pig Island. We were picked up at our hotel by a car, driven to the Pier, then rode the boat to pig island first. Important to know, you WILL get very wet on the boat, so dress accordingly, but that was part of the fun. Recommend glasses to keep water out of your eyes. Pig island is full of dozens of cute pigs of all sizes. You have to pay 50 baht upon arrival but this is listed in activity details. We then summoned the boat (you can take as long as you choose on pig island) to go to the Koh Tam swimming spot. I give 4 stars because the Koh Tam swim spot was pretty small and had a great deal of litter on the shore, but the water was nice. We were unable to snorkel because it had rained recently, but obviously this is outside their control. We then took the boat home. Overall I recommend as a fun day out of the hotel on Koh Samui but I wish I know about the wet boat ride and had a cleaner swim spot.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours

Vet Elephant Sanctuaries

Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.

Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide

These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.

Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning

Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
