D360 Samui
Perched on the elevated western side of Koh Samui near Taling Ngam, D360 Samui is a hilltop viewpoint that rewards those who make the climb with sweeping panoramic views across a large portion of the island. The location is well-maintained and notably peaceful, making it a compelling stop for travellers seeking a quieter, more scenic side of Samui away from the busier eastern beaches. The west-facing aspect makes it a particularly popular spot for watching the sunset. The atmosphere is calm and unhurried, with visitors consistently praising both the views and the condition of the site. The surrounding landscape is lush and the elevated position provides a genuine sense of perspective over the island's terrain and coastline. Access is the key practical consideration here. The road leading to the viewpoint is described by visitors as quite steep, and reaching the top on foot or in a small-engined vehicle is genuinely challenging. A motorbike of 125cc or above is strongly recommended, and those travelling with young children or on foot should be aware that the ascent may not be manageable. Note that GPS routing can sometimes direct visitors via an alternative approach through a private resort — the correct public route should be confirmed before setting off. There are no listed opening hours, so visiting during daylight hours and arriving before sunset is advisable for the best experience.

Visitor Reviews
Amazing spot! Definitely will be my favorite in Samui . Huge thanks to owner for sharing this place with public 🙏 It’s a quite steep incline , so better take +125cc bike or hijacked super duper boosted Thai style 49 🤣 otherwise it’s quite a hike uphill 🫡
One of the best view points to watch sunset on Koh Samui. We rode the motorcycle till the end though the road a steep - be careful!
Very steep road to get up, but worth it.. best view of the island and is absolutely peaceful and well looked after.
Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
