Why go, and how to do it well
The useful thing here is the combination. Most Koh Tao operators sell you dives and nothing else, so if the sea's churned up or you've simply had enough of neoprene for a day, you're stuck. This lot run rock climbing too, which gives you somewhere to put a day that isn't a beach bar.
On the diving side it covers the usual spread, from people who've never breathed underwater to certified divers who just want tanks and a boat over the Gulf reefs. The crowd skews young and international, backpacker-heavy, and the instructors get consistent praise for talking nervous first-timers down. If you're after a quiet, small-group boutique experience, that's not really the energy here. If you want to meet people, it is.
I'd think about what you actually want before you walk in. An open water course is several days of your trip. Fun dives are an afternoon. Climbing is a good half-day either side.
